This coloring book was better that I expected and the rate of delivery was really fast.

I never would've guessed my friend and neighbor, who drives a bulldozer for a living, would be the type to sit down with a coloring book but his colorings are beautiful and not juvenile at all. And he says, which also never occurred to me, that coloring is very relaxing. I never saw it that way as a kid but looking back, I guess coloring was actually relaxing. I'm very impressed with his, what I'm gonna call, artwork. He's somewhat picky about what he wants to color. The more detail in a pic to color, the better. And he's been very satisfied with the books I picked out for his birthday. He loves that the art of each of the pics to color is so detailed. He has bragged about my choices and so has anyone else who he's bragged to that I picked them out. I've never seen such beauty in a coloring book myself. I bought four of them and they all deserve the same praise so I guess I'll just copy and paste this review on each of the products.

I just purchased these Dover COloring Books for my mother and she loves them. The detail is out of this world and the variety of colors you can use are only limited by your inagination. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dover coloring books have a mixed reputation, with many rightfully criticized for being far too heavy with ink. This one does not fall into that category. The images are the perfect balance of size, detail, and white space. The scenes have a great deal of depth and will keep older children and adults well engaged. Only a small paragraph of text accompanies each page at the bottom. Definitely one of the best in the series.

A wonderful book to color which also includes stories and information along the way. However, in my humble opinion, if you want to be really accurate in the coloring - it might be helpful to do some research online and print out a photo of such animal, bird, plant, etc. It is a challenge, and even more so it is a "HOMEMADE TOUCH" especially to a child or children when they see that their parents, grandparents or relatives "colored it" making it all special and unique.

You, yourself, might find some interesting information as you work along the way.

PS: Don't be surprised if you hear your little one say "Read it again!"

My husband's sister is very much into animals and wanted a "realistic dog coloring book." We couldn't find any specific to dogs, although there are a lot of cat books out there! We got her the Wild Animals and A Walk in the Woods coloring books by Dover and they are very realistic pictures. They're also educational and have information on each page about the animal shown. She is very meticulous for an 8 year old, and liked these books a lot since they seemed more mature.

Great detail and fun for any age. This coloring book is for older kids and those adults who like detail. Excellent value for the price of 4$!

A perfect little gift for kids who like to color and learn at the same time.

Fantastic. These books are the best I have found to find pictures to use as templets or stencils for designs to paint on silk.

This coloring book is the best animal safari! Your child will see wonderful close-ups of a variety of animals. This coloring experience is what you would hope for in a zoo trip. Along with the detailed animal drawings, a desciption is included at the bottom of each page...just in case your child wants to know many facts about these amazing animals.
