found it when reading about a test on lip stains in Elle magazIne,
This review is from: CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain, Cinnamon Smile 445 (Misc.)
I am a big fan of lip stains. First, they are the longest lasting way of adding color to your lips that wont rub off...even when wiping with a napkin. Lipstick is quite outdated in comparison when you have a busy day or night and want STAYING color.
Second, no smears no gunk Third, it replaced my lipliner. Because lipstains go on like a magic marker, you can easily outline your lips perfectly and then fill them in. But...I tried various brands and then read that this one, according to an Elle magazine test, lasted longer than the other pens on the market. But I don't believe all marketing til I try it. This is now my new favorite. I like this color in comparison to many other lipstains because so many are vividly bright red or pink and the cinnamon is a more subtle color. I had a few other brands and other colors but wound up with this as my "go to"...great for lining and filling in. Lasted longest...I concur. Although it's not really a negative, I think I'd grown used to the thinner longer tubes and this is thicker and shorter. Not a big deal and probably, in all honesty, it's easier to apply that way...but it doesn't fit as well in my jammed make up case so if I HAD to come up with a negative that's all I can think of. Conclusion: great color that isn't overpowering and seems to work well for many, lasts longest, simple to apply, great liner and lip color combo in one.

great stains with a few cons,

This review is from: CoverGirl Lip Products CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain, Plum Pout 425, 0.09-Ounce (Misc.)
I love these stains. I have this product in 3 shades. I don't find myself using them on a daily basis (which was the purpose of my purchase) because of the following:
- The stain accentuates the creases in my lips - They tend to be a bit drying. If you wear a balm on top I find they are not as long lasting although pretty good. - The colors are a bit too dark for me (and I though I was getting the lighter shades for this reason). Evgen the lighter shades come out pretty dark. To remediate the cons I suggest: - For a lighter more natural application, instead of "drawing" in your lips, I suggest quickly swiping your bottom lip and them closing your lips to distribute the color to the top lip. I find myself using it this way. - Another application trick is to use the darker shades (for example a red) before using a red lip pencil and lipstick so in case you eat or drink you still have bright color left on your lips.

Will Not Buy Again,

This is basically a lip marker. An okay idea, except it tends to apply unevenly and I could never seem to correct it to my satisfaction. Also, the marker dries out very quickly.

VERY DISAPPOINTED,

I found this lipstain to be a great disappointment. The "marker" doesn't easily become infused with the lipstain, making application difficult and time consuming. It also goes on unevenly; and, despite many attempts, I'm unable to correct this. Would definitely never buy again!

Did NOT Last,

This review is from: CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain, Cinnamon Smile 445 (Misc.)
I have tried two of the Covergirl Outlast Lipstains (Flirty Nude & Teasing Blush) and was so looking forward to lasting lip color. Not long after applying it to my lips I ate breakfast and it all came off completely. After applying it other times it was very short lived.
It makes me wonder how other reviewers find it lasting so long lasting.

Best lip stain I have ever used; last forever and doesn't dry out lips,

This review is from: CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain : Berry Smooch No. 405 (Health and Beauty)
I have used a number of lip stains; Urban Decay, Liptini, and Liptini Shimmering. This is my favorite of the bunch. I bought this in the Teasing Blush color.
Pros: - Teasing Blush gives your lips a very natural pink-red flushed color; not bright and artificial like Urban Decay's Greedy. - Lasts forever; seriously I put this on yesterday morning and my lips still had some color on this morning. - Lip pen; a bit easier to apply and get even than the liquids. - Moisturizing; this is the first stain I have used that doesn't completely dry out my lips - Wears off nicely; both Urban Decay and Liptini Shimmering looked patchy and balled up as they wore off. This stain wears off evenly so it looks good even as the color fades. - Cheap; I couldn't believe this lipstain works as good as it has! It is so much cheaper than others out there. - Nice smell to it. All the liptini stains smell a bit yucky; this stain smells like cherry-vanilla. - Easy to get even. I didn't have to exfoliate my lips beforehand to get a nice even look. Cons: - It is a lip pen; so I am not sure how long it will last. Still if it works this nice; I am willing to buy a new one once a month especially at $6 a pop. Overall I really, really like this stain. I usually put lip gloss over it to give it some shine. My favorite stain by far.

Does NOT last!,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a beautiful color, but it doesn't last! It's also drying to my lips, so I have to use a gloss or moisurizer over it.

I am not big on lipstick, I like a little color, but I hate how dry or sticky lipstick feels. For the reason, I felt stuck in the colored lipgloss market. I decided to try this being as spring is here and I was wanting to add a little more color to my palette. I used the Plum Pout color and I was super impressed. You apply it like a marker, lining your lips and filling the line in. it doesn't take long to dry, but you can also blot it to fade a bit before it's completely dry. And if you want more color, just go over a second time and it will intensify nicely. It has a slightly sweet taste that goes away after it is dry, and if my lips are dry, I can apply this and then use lip balm or gloss over it without it fading or smearing. This may be one of the only cosmetics I'll need this summer. Can't wait to try more colors!

What a waste,
This review is from: CoverGirl Lip Products CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain, Plum Pout 425, 0.09-Ounce (Misc.)
I was so excited to use this lipstain, i read so many great reviews in magazines and saw reports on it on TV. What a waste of money! In NYC, they're $8.50-9.00 each! but i bought two on sale (buy one get one 50% off). One was completely dry when I tried it immediately out of the packaging, the other was an orange color that didn't look like the color on the outside and it streaked. So, $13.50 plus tax down the drain and a hard lesson, don't believe everything you read or see on TV.

Doesn't outlast doodly-squat,
This review is from: CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain, Flirty Nude 435 (Misc.)
I've never seen a supposedly long-lasting product disappear more quickly than this one. Lasts maybe 20 minutes AT THE MOST. Waste of money!
