2.0 out of 5 stars Nancy Collins can do better--much better!, April 30, 1998
This review is from: Wild Blood (Paperback)
After reading the Sonya Blue Trilogy and A Dozen Black Roses I wanted to read more of Nancy Collins. Unfortunately, Wild Blood must have been written for the bucks. From the cheesy cover to the 'werewolves are abused children' idea the book is hackneyed. All famous serial killers werewolves? Yeah, right! With the exception of a short section with a convict called Cheater, the book is rife with one-dimensional characters.
The explanation of the 'werewolf lifestyle ' is laboriously drawn out and, in addition to being incredulous,is boring. It's hard to believe this is the same author who created Sonya Blue. Sonya would wipe out this creature with one swing!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Nancy Collins' best, January 6, 2000

This review is from: Wild Blood (Paperback)
This book was wonderful and refreshing after running into countless boring werewolf stories. I really enjoyed this new take on werewolves. The characters are fascinating, the plot is fast-paced and enjoyable, and the writing is high quality. Some scenes may not be for the faint-of-stomach, but then again, such people should perhaps not read modern horror in the first place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Too Wild!, December 14, 1999
This review is from: Wild Blood (Paperback)
I read Wild blood at a time when I was consuming a great amount of books. This one really stuck out. I am a big fan of horror, and this book does NOT disapoint. Anyone interested in Werewolf mythology has gotta give this a go. It's up there with Stephen Kings "Cycle of the Werewolf" and Robert McCammon's "Wolfs Hour" it's a sterdy read, that you'll find breezing through in no time, it is really hard to put down.
