This book is GREAT! It is funny, it is gross in a way kids love and it even has a very, very subtle message to it but most of all it is laugh out loud good reading!

I came across this little gem at a discount book store. My 3 and 4 year olds at my daycare laughed and giggled through the entire book. Then begged for me to read it again. Their favorite part was the squid in the pudding. great pictures add to this book. First they measure out the ingredients. "Ten cups of sugarF!" shouts Morris. "Five hundred choclate-covered chocolates!" roars Boris. "A gross of donuts," Squeals Horace. (next Page) "And lots and lots of broccoli1" shrieks Doris Everbody stops and stared. Broccoli? In a Massive Pudding? "Sorry," Said Doris. (Next Page) It's too dry, sobbed boris. It's too small, wailed Morris. I'm hungry, HOwled Horace. So Doris added one and a half puddles, a bucket of squichy butter, 26 bananas, and a squid. Then started to whick brickly.

My kids (2 and 4) absolutely love the Boars! The original (Meet Wild Boars) is still the favorite and best, but we love mixing it up a little (pardon the pun) with the Boar Cooks.

not as good as the first title,

our girls loved the first book so we got this one (it had two 5 star reviews). Unfortunately it does not come close. The first book kept the kids entertained while providing lots of opportunity for us to "push" educational values. This one hardly has any educational potential and putting a squid inside the pudding they eat completely freaked out our 3 year old, destroying any entertaining value. sorry, just didn't get it right this time.
