THE BURNS SISTERS ARE THREE OF THIRTEEN SYBLINGS WHO GREW UP IN BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK, WHERE THEIR LATE FATHER WAS MAYOR FOR MANY YEARS. THEIR MOTHER WAS AN OPERA SINGER WHO GAVE UP HER CAREER TO BE MOM TO HER LARGE IRSIH FAMILY. BUT HER NATURAL AND PROFESSIONAL MUSICAL AND ARTISTIC TALENTS WERE IMPARTED TO ALL OF HER CHILDREN, AND ESPECIALLY JEANNIE, MARIE, AND ANNIE.THESE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN SHOULD HAVE THEIR PICTURE NEXT TO THE TERM "IRISH TWINS" BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL VERY CLOSE IN AGE, AND THEIR VOCALS ARE GLORIOUS IN HARMONY, TONE, AND PASSION. "WILD BOUQUET" HAS A VARIED LIST OF SONGS FROM WRITERS LIKE LEONARD COHEN, WOODY GUTHRIE, ELLIS PAUL, STEVE VAN ZANT (BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN BAND AND SILVIO ON "THE SPRANOS") THE SISTERS THEMSELVES, AND EVEN ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER! Great Music, Nice Harmonies,

The Burns Sisters are fairly well known to Folk music Fans in Upstate NY, and have had a large following over the past 10 years. This CD is a great mixture of original songs and some nice covers. Among the covers are songs by Leonard Cohen, Woody Guthrie, Steve VanZandt and even Andrew Lloyd Weber (Pie Jesu). They are known for their beautiful harmonies and good songwriting. "Bring Them Home" is a beautiful song and an example of their politcal anti war message. This is a very enjoyable CD and one of their better ones.
