Book Description

June 4, 2010 Black Lace
When Victoria Ashe lures an ex-lover to her London hotel room, their passion is reignited with startling intensity. She's out to prove to Ray that intimacy can be just as exciting as the thrill of the chase, and Ray Torrington might actually agree if it weren't for King Bai Lon, a Hong Kong bombshell who doles herself out one delicate morsel at a time, always in public. And Penny, a champion poker player known as "The Flame of London," also has her sights on the saucy jackpot. The scene is set for a high-stakes game of sexual exploration. When the wild card keeps changing it's difficult for even the most accomplished player to know who's bluffing and who is telling the truth, but in this lusty tournament of champions, the winner takes all.

More About the Author

Madeline Moore was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She has a Bachelor's Degree in English/Drama from The University of Alberta.

She attended the Banff Centre Writing Program when the writer in residence was Al Purdy and the Humber School for Writer's Program, studying with D.M. Thomas. Those were the two best summers of her life.

Madeline lived in Thailand in 1969 - 1971. She has yet to write the story of her adventures with her four siblings and parents in the far east at the height of the Viet Nam war.

She has published three novels to date. These are erotic novels written with the now defunct but once highly respected imprint 'Black Lace', a part of Virgin Press, now owned by Random House.

Wild Card - Madeline's first novel, won Scarlet Magazine's 'best oral sex scene' for the limousine scene featuring the kinky communist Bai Long and humanitarian/dominant Ray.

Amanda's Young Men - Featured in 'Juicy Bits', Scarlet Magazine.

Sarah's Education - Voted 'best cover of the year 2009' by Jade Magazine, UK.

Many of Madeline's short stories have appeared in anthologies like 'Getting Even: Revenge Stories (ed. Mitzi Szereto) and 'Lust at First Bite; sexy vampire stories' (Black Lace.) She was pleased to see her story 'Commando' featured in the third issue of 'The Moose and the Pussy' a Canadian magazine dedicated to erotica. Her story 'Get Up!Stand Up!' is in 'The Cougar Book' which is presently short listed for the EPIC - e-book of the year award.
The anthology "Dream Lover" which can now be pre-ordered, contains her paranormal romantic erotic tale "Lust As Old As Us" and her story "Double Take!" will be included in the upcoming "Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 10"

Madeline is a fan of Leonard Cohen and Ashton Kutcher, for very different reasons.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Steamiest, August 2, 2006
This review is from: Wild Card (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
Wild Card is certainly the sexiest Black Lace title I've ever read. It is also the best written, from a literary point of view. Madeline Moore has created realistic three-dimensional characters, who just happen to be very attractive, libidinous and kinky - just like us. Even the plot is believable - no secret clubs or schools for the depraved - this is Erotica for real people, about real people.

I'm looking forward to Madeline's next.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible..., February 20, 2008

This review is from: Wild Card (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think the other person who wrote a review must be friends with the author. This book was NOT good. The only reason I did not give the book one star is that the sex scenes were pretty good. Otherwise, the book was boring and poorly written.
