*** DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU PLAN TO INSTALL IT ON A MACINTOSH ***
I have had this software bundle in my home for approximately 6 weeks, during which time I have traded approximately 100 emails with the retailer who sold it (Stress Free Living Company --- very helpful and conscientious, and I recommend his company without qualification) and the Wild Divine company (or, as I like to think of it, The-Company-That-Must-Not-Be-Named).
Bottom line: this stuff is hardly compatible with itself (the Wisdom Quest and Healing Rhythms programs use different versions of Quicktime and Wisdom Quest will not run if you are using an up-to-date version of Quicktime), and it cannot be installed on a Mac.
There are several problems I am now personally aware of and perhaps an infinitude of problems I am not. Dealing only with personal experience ... First, the Healing Rhythms software apparently cannot be verified, which is the initial stage in any Mac installation. Despite repeated requests, Wild Divine would or could not inform me why this was so. In any event, you must skip the verification stage, or your computer is likely to freeze indefinitely. Second, there is a special compression codex (think that's the right term) called 3ivx which is included with the software. Unfortunately, the 3ivx developers have updated their code for Macs, and the Wild Divine company has not paid for it. In order to run the software properly on a Mac, I was told to download the 3ivx program independently, at an additional, although admittedly small, expense. The retailer was willing to compensate me for this expense; however, I could never even get the software installed to the point where I had to deal with this issue.
This is because ... (third) ... the software comes with a finger sensor device called a Light Stone. And the Light Stone, well, doesn't seem to work on Macs. Certainly it did not work, and could not be made to work, on mine. Every time the program attempts to test the Light Stone, it crashes. Wild Divine is aware enough of the problem to have a downloadable patch on its website intended to correct the problem, but --- (you know what's coming) --- the patch doesn't work reliably. On my MacBook Pro that translates into not working at all.
After 6 weeks of getting the same lame excuses and being told to install the same patches over and over and over again, I was finally told that if I installed additional 3rd party software (Crosstalk) and made an appointment with a Wild Divine tech support guy, they would remotely install the program, GUARANTEED to work.
So I downloaded, installed and registered Crosstalk. As I live in Hong Kong, I stayed up late to make the phone call into the Wild Divine company, again at my own expense ... and the person who had told me to do all of this didn't bother to answer the phone. When I emailed her to ask what was going on, she said the Wild Divine phone system was automated so that they could not pick it up outside normal office hours and that they would call me back ... which they then failed to do. (And I was dealing with the head of customer support! You'd think that she would know the limitations of her own phone system before telling a customer who lives halfway around the world to give her an expensive international call ... )
If you're looking for poor product quality, totally crappy customer service (with an attitude!), and a month or two of headaches, then I highly recommend the Wild Divine company for your next purchase. If you prefer to spend your $400 on something that works, however, you might want to go elsewhere.
