Editorial Reviews

Playful, gentle and inquisitive, dolphins are among the most endearing of wild animals - and Robin Williams may be their perfect human counterpart. Williams, whose adventure takes him to the Bahamas and Hawaii, talks with research experts and attempts to communicate with dolphins in captivity. In the wild, he frolics with 60 spotted dolphins and forms a special kinship with one older dolphin. This entertaining and touching program reveals Robin Williams as the hilarious performer we know, and as a curious, sensitive investigator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous & informational video, August 21, 2000
This review is from: In the Wild - Dolphins With Robin Williams [VHS] (VHS Tape)
We bought this video for our daughter who has recently taken a fascination with dolphins. My husband and I are both big fans of Robin Williams so we figured this would be GOOD documentary on dolphins. We were not disappointed. Although I must admit, my daughter was - she's only 2 yr. The humor was above her level and what was left was too much like a documentary for her. But my husband and I love this video. Typical Robin Williams humor and the occasional evidence of true emotion for the dolphins comes through. Excellent choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully documented and narrated video., November 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: In the Wild - Dolphins With Robin Williams [VHS] (VHS Tape)
When I saw this documentary on TV in South Africa, I knew I had to have a copy of it. It took me ages to find a copy but it was well worth the wait. Robin Williams is down to earth, comical and genuinely interested in what he is doing. An absolute must for any dolphin lover and/or Robin Williams fan!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Holly takes us into the true hearts of the cheetahs, January 6, 1999
This video was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes several times. Holly hunter's genuine enthusiasm and awe at her experience with the Cheetahs as well as her obvious respect of these animals was lovely and extremely touching. When at the end she plays a part in freeing the chettah, she breaks down, I felt as though I was there with her and could understand the breadth of emotion that she must have been feeling. This is a wildlife special that not only teaches but makes you feel as well.
