Long after "Magnet and Steel", Walter Egan released my favorite of his albums, Wild Exhibitions. At this stage of his career, he was leaning more towards rock than the Fleetwood-Mac stylings of his earlier work, but he always kept his pop sensibilities in the mix.

Favorites of mine include "Like No Other One" and "Stay All Night". Unfortunately, he had been bouncing from label to label and had fallen off the radar by this time, so this got very little attention upon its release. But I'm glad to see it finally make it to CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Andru Reeve Declares This Album To Be Pop Perfection, April 19, 2010

This review is from: Wild Exhibitions (Audio CD)
Andru Reeve loves the Beach Boys more than the Beatles. Some will be shocked to learn this. However, when they hear Walter Egan's WILD EXHIBITIONS album -- which Andru Reeve considers to be one of the great lost albums of the 80s -- most will come to a certain understanding. Egan should be in the Brian Wilson pantheon for the melodies on this album alone. And there are many more of Walter Egan's works that are of nearly equal merit.

Sure, Egan is best-known for his hit "Magnet And Steel", but the songs on WILD EXHIBITIONS blow that one away. Andru Reeve guarantees your full and complete satisfaction.
