Another great book by Justine Davis,

This review is from: Wild Hawk (Paperback)
I only have one complaint about Justine Davis's writing. She uses the words 'need' and 'heat' too much. Other than that one small complaint, I find her work compelling, interesting, packed with amazing characters that you end up falling in love with, and plots that range from other worlds to wizards. This book, like her others, involves a hero who can't get past his past and a strong heroine who can't believe she's even taking the time. But Kendall has no choice. She is bound by her love and respect for a man that everyone else despised, including the hero, his bastard son. It's a great read!

This review is from: Wild Hawk (Paperback)
I think this is the 3rd in the Hawk series - all of which revolve around a mysterious book that appears to the last Hawk. I read them in sequence, so the part about the book was a little repetitious. However, Jason's reaction to the book is everything you'd expect from an intelligent modern man, with no use for magic. A man who doesn't believe in love, and a woman who can love the unlovable, a malicious widow, murder, mystery and magic, what more could one ask for?
