Wild at Heart is written by John Eldridge. It is a great book for men and women. It discusses man's inmost passions of being wild at heart. Although it is written more towards men, women can get a lot out of it by understanding men's desires. It discusses a wide array of topics including questions, vulnerabilities, and struggles every man deals with. He says that the church is sending wrong signals to men, while Eldridge believes men should be dangerous instead of just nice guys.
Eldridge puts a lot of focus on how society is trying emasculate boys. It discusses how males are looking for validation of their masculinity in the wrong places. They look for confirmation of masculinity by getting affection from women. Eldridge assures that men will never find their masculinity by going to women.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It taught me so many different life lessons. Being in college, I'm trying to figure out what I would like to do with the rest of my life. It encouraged me not to look for a job field with the most money or the best job outlook, but for the job that I would enjoy to do because the world needs someone who's passionate about what they do.
