A Golden Story,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wild Honey (Kindle Edition)
Set in Colorado in 1859, this is the story of a young woman who is the daughter of a gold-miner, and the 'mother' of her young half-brother and half-sister. She meets up with the marshall of the gold-strike town they are currently living by, and dreams of a 'normal' life, with a husband and a home, children of her own. But life is harsh, her father is a drunk, her siblings are only 3 and 6, and totally reliant on her. What can she do? Only 20 herself, she if forced to become self-reliant, to make a life for herself and the children, though she still hopes and dreams for a life of her own. This is a thoroughly good story, as well as a sweet romance, a definite must-read!

Take one strong hero, one plucky heroine, and an authentic backdrop, add sympathetic secondary characters, a dollop of danger, and a happy ending -- and you have everything you could ask for in a Western romance.
