Format: Hardcover
When two brothers fall in love with two sisters what else can you expect but trouble? Add to that a wild stallion one of the brothers has to own--even if it means the risk of losing his sweetheart--you have the ingredients for this Zane Grey romance set in Utah. Chane Weymer loves horses, and when Toddy Nokin, a Piute Indian tells him of Panquitch who is running free on Wild Horse Mesa, Chane decides that he has to have this magnificent wild horse. Although not as great of a novel as "Wildfire" is, this is still a good read from the master story-teller of the West.

Although not as great of a novel as "Wildfire" is, this is still a good read from the master story-teller of the West. And when the unexpurgated version of this story is published in January 2015 under the title of "Panquitch" then maybe we can get the "real" novel as Zane Grey intended it to be, instead of an editor's idea of what Zane Grey wanted to say. Still, this edition, this Walter J Black book, is worth owning as it will match the others in the collection, and will last a life time of repeated readings, and can be left to the next generation of Zane Grey readers.

Scheduled for a 2016 release is an unexpurgated version of this novel titled, Panguitch, taken from Zane Grey's holographic manuscript. Can't wait. But until then this Walter J. Black edition will provide many repeated readings with not problem.
