Wild horses is a road movie about an old man who tries to steal an insurance company for money they owed him and when everything goes wrong, runs away with a young man as a hostage. They develop a close friendship among them and they keep their way together with a girl they find in the road to the south of argentina. Their trial of robbery is found acceptable by the people, thus, country people help them as the police is after them.

Although it's an argentinian film, it handles the hollywood codes and style in an excellent way. An interesting story, good music & great sense of humor make of this one a clever film. Not to be missed. Intelligent and entertaining.

En una epoca donde el sexo, la violencia y los efectos especiales inundan la pantalla grande poniendo en evidencia la pobreza moral de quienes hacen del cine solo un gran negocio que aprovecha la pobreza intelectual de quienes lo consumen, Caballos Salvajes (Wild Horses) demuestra que aun se puede hacer cine de calidad. La union de los parlamentos de una pelicula Europea, el vertigo de un road-movie Americano y el ingrediente Latino, hacen de Caballos Salvajes una historia que a pesar de ser entretenida, no abandona ni por un minuto el inmenso sentido humano, la solidaridad y el instinto libertario de los seres vivos. Acaso no queremos todos en el fondo cabalgar como caballos salvajes? Porque la libertad implica asumir los riesgos que nos hacen disfrutar a plenitud de nuestra existencia. La Libertad no es mas que el inmenso territorio desamparado sin piso ni techo donde lo unico que existe es la plena certeza de haber elegido lo que nuestro instinto nos dicta. Ese mensaje sutil que saben transmitir de manera magistral Hector Alterio y Leonardo Sbaraglia entre otros, es la verdadera esencia del film. Dos horas bien invertidas de tu vida: para el analisis, la reflexion, la reaccion o el recuerdo. Sencillamente genial!

Caught this at the LA Latino Film Festival and it was an amazing film. Beautifully shot and scripted, as well as wonderful performances from the whole cast. The soundtrack was perfect! I'm trying to find the soundtrack on CD-can anyone help?
