5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!
I really enjoyed Wild Justice. Read it first when I tracked it down to read the series and was thrilled the author released it in digital. Got such a kick out of Fizz and why her nickname IS Fizz. Really like Liz Fielding stories. Her books have a warmth and humanity that makes me smile when I see she has a new release. And be sure to pick up the other "Wild" books when...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Story, terrible editing
I like Liz F's books. The story had a good plot, the characters were well developed. The sensual scenes were tastefully done, plenty of FIZZ, but not so graphic. I would have thoroughly enjoyed the story, if I didn't have to keep filling in the missing articles, retracing my steps to figure out what the sentence used to say before words got rearranged or lopped off. I can't believe a real book would have such terrible editing/proofing. Is it because they think a free kindle book isn't worth the bother?? I was disappointed in the quality, but would have rated the story a 5. It was the first of 3 books, but I will not be spending money on the others.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good and clean book to read, October 22, 2011
I enjoyed reading this book. It was a bit long in places but I liked how the author tied everything up. It had a place or two where there were tears and several where there was laughter. And yes I too have run into males that just take your breath away and brains too! It was a fun read. I listened to it on a 5 hour drive made easy because listened to it all the way home. I could not get out of the car fast enough so I could finish the book. Thank you I can not wait to see the next installment with her sister! I can see the sparks now!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wild romance!, November 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When wealthy tycoon, Luke Devlin, comes to town, he takes over Harries Industries, a family owned company, that's in serious financial shape. He doesn't know whether to try and turn things around or not. Whether it means cutbacks or pink slips, employees are bound to be unhappy whatever he decides.

Felicity Beaumont, known as Fizz, reads a press release that states Harries is carefully screening its support of sports and arts in town. Since Harries is her radio station's main sponsor, Fizz has good reason to be worried. The informal sponsorship had been given in the form of a handshake by the former owner of Harries. Would Luke Devlin continue to provide support for the station, or withdraw it?

Her first meeting with Devlin in anything but stellar when she vents her steam at Devlin's accountant instead of him. Already worried, she only becomes more so when she meets the man behind the name. And, oh, what a man he is! Too gorgeous by far, fireworks go off inside her when he closes the distance between them to meet her. There is no possible way she could possibly have been prepared for him!

Devlin is wary of Fizz at first. He knows how deceiving women can be from first hand experience, but this woman does not fit any women he has met before. She doesn't seem to be fazed by his wealth and position, and seems to argue with every other word he says. The longer he's around her, the more intrigued he is. She seemed like a bimbo at first, but she is much sharper, and more knowledgeable than he realized. Dealing with her is also pleasurable; before long, he is fanning the sparks between them into flames.

Fizz doesn't know if she should be involved with Devlin, but she can't seem to help herself. He is the quintessential male, and everything about him calls to her...she just doesn't want to get burned.

This romance is wild. Talk about fireworks! I really enjoyed the two going from an adversarial relationship to one hot enough to sizzle! The scenes are hot, but not overly graphic or explicit. There is also plenty of backstory to please the most discriminating. A very, very nice contemporary romance. Very highly recommended!

2.0 out of 5 stars First Book for me by Fielding....Unfortunately...was not Impressed, October 29, 2011
I really wanted to like this book, especially with all the positive reviews. Unfortunately her writing style in combination with the multitude of typos and mistakes, forced me to not even finish the book. Usually I am pretty good about ignoring mistakes but not when it starts to detract from the flow which really affects ones ability to absorb themselves into the story.

Also I just did not believe the relationship between Fizz Beaumont and Luke Devlin. I kept wondering if they really were supposed to become romantically involved...waiting for another character to emerge with a more believable interest in Fizz. Their dialog seemed dry and lacking any sensual sparkle. Also the book was a bit boring to me. Everything was a laid out and carbon copied, at least that was the case for the portion of the book that I read. To be truthful I started the book but did not finish the book...so if that sparkle and romantic connection came full force later in the book...I missed it. Sorry. I read the first 80 pages (which I think is more than enough of a chance) and gave up. I also think that its enough to give an adequate review though. The book just was not for me- the characters were not connecting and I was not connecting.

Usually if I don't finish a book I give a one star. However I did not hate the book, I was frustrated by the book. Plus my expectations for the book were not met, but someone who is a fan may understand and appreciate her characterization and the dialog. However I doubt that anyone appreciates typos and missing sentences. So I would not recommend that you stay way from this one but this book was not my cup of tea and based on reviews who stated that this was her usual "goodness" I personally will not read another.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good story line, disappointing book, October 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I found this to be an interesting book with interesting characters. However, there was not enough depth to the characters. I felt the romantic aspect of the book was unbelievable. I have never read a Harlequin romance, but felt this book would probably qualify. I did find it had a good story line. There were so many grammatical errors and typos that at times I had trouble making sense of the sentence or paragraph and at one point thought maybe I had missed a whole page in the story. It was distracting to me. If the typos, etc. don't bother you, it is a fun read and certainly worth the free price.

I really enjoyed this book. It actually had a good story. And the sex was tastefully done and did not dominate the entire book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fizz Beaumont is a heroine to take to your heart, December 13, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Wild Justice (Scarlet) (Paperback)
Fizz Beaumont's radio station has money troubles enough but then her major sponsor is taken over by Luke Devlin. After that the money problems become inextricably linked with her own passionate reaction to him. Fizz wasn't given that nickname for nothing. She explodes onto the page, a hurting, real and absolutely wonderful heroine in a great story about the redemption of love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Quick Read, January 21, 2012
If you are a Liz Fielding fan like me you'll find the hero of this book, Luke Devlin, a little different to her normal heroes. He seemed to me to be more like a Harlequin Presents hero than her usual sort. But that said, I enjoyed the story, loved the feisty heroine who knew her own mind and wasn't going to lie down and let him walk all over her. Enjoyable!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Read-Fun Story, January 20, 2012

Loved the characters, good story. Interesting twists and turns. Still wished the author would have chosen a different quirky name for the main character...the name 'Fizzled' out a bit and made it silly.
