I loved this book. Not only was it a great romance novel but the plot was very entertaining. I enjoyed every aspect of the book...romance, anticipation, and humor. After reading this book by Connie Mason I intend to ready many more of her books.

I am now reading this book ,I am almost at the end and I don't feel like finishing it. Kate character is unlikeble from the start and it makes it very hard for me to feel connected. This is the first book that I read of Connie Mason and I hope that the next one will be much better.

this is the second book in a trilogy by Connie Mason, the first being Bold Land, Bold Love - the story of Dare Penrod and the convict Casey O'Cain. kind of like the sophomore curse with recording artists, Brave Land, Brave Love had pretty big shoes to fill after such a great start to the trilogy. i do recommend reading that one first, though, as it will endear the reader to all of the characters and the setting much more quickly. yes, Kate's kind of a stuck up pain in the arse through much of the book, but it's not the worst thing i've ever read. by the end i was definitely cheering on the characters, and cringing at all the cringe-worthy moments. i give it a four out of five, due mostly because it's part of a family of books whose characters i already loved.

i loved this book! very interesting. i read it in 1 1/2 day plus i had other stuffs to do. although the story does have tiny loose ends. like the infatuation/love Robin Fletcher had for Casey. even it was before he met the love of his life, kate. i like kate character and i totally understood her reason for being bitchy. i also loved RObin's character he was a hansome devil! and he Proved that he really loved kate and that Casey girl was just an infatuation. but Casey was not a villain though but i still didn't like her..then. because of the thing between her and Robin. at the end i found that she was a good person.

It was a virgin land waiting to be explored, a wild frontier peopled by even wilder men, a place where a defenseless woman risked bother her virtue and her life. But hot-tempered, high-spirited Kate McKenzie was sure she could survive in Australia on her own...until she met her match in Robin Fletcher. In the brawny arms of the former convict she discovered that a defenseless woman can have the time of her life losing her virtue to the right man.

I did enjoy this book and it did keep me interested but, although I really wanted to bond with Kate, she was such a witch that it was difficult to. I really felt sorry for poor Robin and wondered what he possibly loved about her. She treated him [badly] and lets face it, There isn't a man on earth that would put up with prudish [girl] who constantly ridiculed him. This girl constantly pushes her luck and it isn't until the end that she acts the saint. The only chemistry between the two was the sex and, as hot as it was, believe it or not, it actually not old. It also gives you very little info concerning the crimes of the characters but, in fairness, I did not realize that this book was a sequel.

First of all I want to say that Connie Mason is one of my favorite authors but I'm not really digging this series. This is book #2 of a 3 book series & I've not really cared for either of them. The characters are unlikable & I've hated both the storylines. If I didn't already have the 3rd book in the series I think I'd pass because I don't really care what happens to these people. Don't mix up my review for Connie Mason as an author though because she is Fabulous! Find a better rated book & I'm sure you'll love her books just as I usually do.

I was disapointed in this book. Ms Mason has written much better than this. The dialogue between the characters was adolescent. The heroine was judgemental and stupid in many ways, one was that she never asked what any ones' crimes were. She and Robin didn't have a decent or intelligent conversation until the end, yet they were in love with each other. The sex was great, but lets face it there has to be something else for true love to grow. I enjoy sex scenes, but even I got board with the frequency of it. The story itself had potential but the characters being so adolescent in their dialogue took away from it. The two star rating I gave is for the potenial of the story. To bad the characters ruined it, especially Kate. Robin wasn't quite as bad.
