Leigh Rubin is a syndicated cartoonist to more than 400 newspapers worldwide. His cartoons are some of the most popular in the country. Rubin is the author of eight books, one of which was a finalist at the Independent Book Publishers Awards. He also distributes his own greeting cards.

Leigh began his cartooning career in 1978 by establishing his own greeting card company, Rubes Publications. His first cartoon collection, the popular Notable Quotes musical cartoons, was published in 1981.
Rubes®, Leigh's syndicated cartoon, began in 1984, and the first paperback collection of Rubes® was published in late 1988. His most recent series of books include the award-winning "Wild Life of Love" and "The Wild Life of Cats." Several of his other books include "The Wild Life of Dogs," Pets, Cows, Farm Animals and "Rubes® Then and Now."
Originally self-syndicated, Rubes is now distributed by Creators Syndicate to more than 400 newspapers worldwide. As one of the most popular single-panel cartoons, Rubes® is a regular feature in SkyWest's United Express and American Traveler magazines.
Rubes appears in major daily metropolitan papers, such as the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, the Toronto Sun, The Washington Times, the Sacramento Bee, the Houston Chronicle, The Orange County Register, and the Los Angeles Daily News.
Leigh also enjoys a busy schedule giving thought-provoking and entertaining cartoon presentations at conferences, as well as professional organizations all around the country.
In March 2010 Andrews and McMeel will be publishing "The Wild and Twisted World of Rubes", the 25th anniversary collection of Rube Cartoons!

The funniest thing I have ever read. I wet myself while reading the series. I would suggest that you keep a spare pair of underwear handy when reading these books.

Leigh Rubin captures the wild side of our pets that makes us laugh out loud and immensely glad to claim four-legged critters as our friends. All his cartoon collections are fantastic, but the Wild Life series should appeal to EVERYONE. Beautiful books, and very afforadble. Great gifts for people (and critters) of all ages!

This book is just too funny! I laughed out loud several times while reading it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the price; $7 is a lot for a 20 minute read.
