What strange alchemy boiled in Rumi's blood when he met Shams? What inner turmoils caused Hafiz to sit in a circle for 40 days on a vigil to not leave that circle until his Beloved came to him? Whatever perfumed essence brewed in the mighty souls of Rumi and Hafiz is no stranger to Dreaming Bear. Having recently had the honor and great joy of witnessing Dreaming Bear totally win over and woo a crowded poerty slam audience and gracefully dance his poem in to sweep up the first place prize, and to watch everyone in the room fall deeply in love with him was a truly amazing experience. To watch the audience members begin bursting into flames of Love one by One like radiant love lanterns in the midnight sky, I had to wonder... what strange alchemy happened that night? Why did Dreaming Bear win first prize at that slam? Was it was because he delivered his poems straight from his heart, with pristine presence, with lightning love, seeing no dividing line between himself and anyone his eyes touched?The Illuminated Rumi Having witnessed Dreaming Bear perform his illuminated poetry by heart, I find myself amazed and seriously pondering this question in my heart over and over....Have Hafiz and Rumi joined hands and hearts to walk into the 21st century to use Dreaming Bear Kanaan's tongue as theirs in a duet to deliver their ancient voices to a world hungry for the Love? This book of poetry actually saved my soul. When I read it I was going through a difficult moment in my life, and the intent and content of Dreaming Bear's message lifted me into a way of seeing my life and world that softened my heart, soothed my soul and added meaning to my challenges. In this book his poetry covers the world, the heart, struggle, sensuality and great love, messages for modern healers.....it is vast and varied and rich. The beauty of his words and the flow of his seeing of life is unusual and truly a modern day rumi/hafiz energy. I prefer him at this time over any other of my favorite uplifting writers and poets. if you like poetry, this book is a must have. and for sure, check out his website and videos and "HIM", as he is one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever laid eyes on....inside and out.

Wild Love is an intoxicating journey into the heart and soul of a true modern day prophet of Love! I found myself rejoicing to know that we have with us at this time a poet with a passion and love for the Divine in the likeness of the great mystics Rumi and Hafiz! Dreaming Bear's words are clearly an expression and sensous reminder of Great Spirit's love for all of creation and have been truly comforting and uplifting to my soul!
