Two books in one.

I don't even know which one I like more. Both heroines were so different and yet so likeable in their own ways. Kaya is sweeter and more shy, while Aliyah is more assertive and has a stronger personality.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not her best
This was definitely not one of her better books. I really like Maya Banks but I was disappointed in this one.

Two books in one.

I don't even know which one I like more. Both heroines were so different and yet so likeable in their own ways. Kaya is sweeter and more shy, while Aliyah is more assertive and has a stronger personality.

THE STORIES

Aliyah is a cheetah who was captured in Africa and transported to the US along with other big cats so that wealthy men can pretend they are on safari and hunt them down. She is shot in the hip with a bow and is rescued by hunky Duncan.

Kaya is a cougar who is cold and lonely and who over the years befriends Hunter and Jericho who own a cabin up in the mountain. Her desire to form a connection with someone allows her to reveal herself to them and their romance blooms from there.

As it turns out Aliyah and Kaya are sisters, and Kaya's family believed she died when they were children. The reunion was very touching and example of Ms Banks fine writing abilities. I only wish that we could have gotten another book or at least an epilogue to give us an update of the birth and family interaction after the reunion.

MY TAKE

A thoroughly enjoyable romantic fantasy and a worthwhile read.

This book is actually two books combined; Amber Eyes & Golden Eyes. It is about two sisters from an unusual family. It was fast paced and entertaining. I was sorry when it ended because I wanted more! The author is a very good storyteller. I look forward to finding & reading more of her books.

This book has two great stories Alysha has been stuck in her cougar form for quite some time and when she is taken out on a hunt in a rural mountain side she finds Duncan. Duncan can't believe what he has found when the cougar turns into a beautiful woman. This is a great story of love and learning to except another's differences no matter how different they may be. In the story of Kaya she meets two men who are hiding from the pain of a lost love and aren't looking for anything new. When Kaya meets them she is as a wounded mountain lion but the men soon fall for not only the cat but the woman as well. They have their ups and downs with each side having trouble letting go of the past and learning to hold onto love but what comes out is stronger than ever.
