Book Description

Once Josh Gentry had everything he ever wished for and he figured that was all he'd get in this lifetime. Then Bridget McCloud walked into his life and made him believe in second chances. Bridget was sure the rugged single dad was perfect for her ad campaign AND herself. But Josh didn't think a single girl would be happy on a ranch a million miles from nowhere. What does it take to convince a man that all you need is a Wild Mustang Man, his lively five-year-old son and you could live happily ever after?

"I want to be left alone by city slickers combing the countryside for male models," he told her.

"I'm not looking for a male model," Bridget protested, "I'm looking for a real man. A man with real muscles. A man who does real work. I want you for my ad campaign. When you come to your senses, give me a call."

"Don't hold your breath," he said. "I can't be bought. Nothing you say will make me change my mind."

:"But you'll make more money as the Wild Mustang Man than you've ever dreamed of."

"How do you know what I've dreamed of?" he demanded. "Now if you're finished here I'll see you out."

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Summer Read August 3, 2011
By Boston
Format:Kindle Edition
I love Western Romances and this is a great one. I have read other romances by Culver and this one didn't fail to make me laugh and dream along with the hero. I want to book my next vacation on a ranch and find my own hot cowboy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Western Romance, AT ITS BEST!!! August 17, 2011
By bsktbl
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When Bridget approached Josh asking him to be a model for a photo shoot for a cologne, Josh just thinks that she looks like an angel from heaven, those soft curves, those inviting lips... He would do anything to get her as his, but one thing is holding him back...even though he was happy with his ranch and his 5 year old kid, he would get much happier with Bridget in his life, but Molly, Josh's former perfect wife, dies a few years back, so he would not want to marry someone else and make it seem as if it would take Molly's place in his heart. Finally, later on in the story, he overcomes his way of thinking, knowing that Molly is gone, and he can't mope around forever without another person to share his life with, so guess what happens next? Read this EXCITING story to find out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful life story December 7, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a great story that could be so true in any life. The seriousness, the fun, the wit, all lead to a great read. You will root for the heroine all the way!
At times you will even want to reach into the book and "slap some sense" into the cowboy. LOL
Here again are many typos. I am wondering if it is the transition to Kindle that makes this happen???? I could do a better proof read than this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only half a story May 27, 2012
By Paul
Format:Kindle Edition
It's a great story but then it suddenly finishes, within half a chapter it's all done & I was left thinking this book is incomplete or was hastily finished.
I feel the author could have done a better job of the ending after putting so much into what is essentially a very good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner from Carol Grace April 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Carol Grace has always impressed me with her writing and Wild Mustang Man is certainly no exception. This story is about a lonely widower, albeit a very sexy, ruggedly handsome one, named Josh, with a five year old son named Max who is an outgoing, energetic, adorable little boy who live on a ranch in the outskirts of Nevada. Bridget, a beautiful, intelligent, woman from San Francisco,is trying to get a big account for her brand-new advertising agency and after being bowled over by the sight of Josh on a horse, attempts to enlist Josh to be the symbol for this account called Wild Mustang Man Cologne. Although Josh is extremely attracted to Bridget, he is determined not to love any woman after being devastated when his wife died...and certainly not a city woman! Bridget fosters this belief because she knows -- because Josh told her outright -- that she has no chance of any permanent relationship and she is leery of men after a recent broken engagement.

In addition to fine writing, the editing was quite good, with only a few small typos that didn't distract from the smooth flow of the story. I loved the dialogue; it brought strong, clear personalities to all the characters, both major and minor ones. The imagery was wonderful and was both vivid and realistic. (I especially liked the description of the sunset shot.)

There is just one sad note. Recently a new law was passed, again allowing the slaughtering of horses for meat, with the latest slaughterhouse in New Mexico. If you love wild mustangs as much as I do, please try and help get this new law revoked.

As a contemporary western romance, this book was first-rate and I enjoyed reading it very much. I would definitely recommend it to readers of this genre.

4.0 out of 5 stars Artistic License Aside, it is a Beautiful Story January 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
City girl meets cowboy and there were sparks immediately. Bridget wants to have it all - a career and a family but believes she could not have both because Josh Gentry is emotionally unavailable for love.

Josh finds Bridget more than just attractive. She turned his world upside down. But he was afraid to take chances with love. Losing his first wife had taken an emotional toll on him. All he wants now was raise his 5 year old son and tame wild mustangs.

"Wild Mustang Man" relates how Bridget and Josh overcome their self doubt and find happiness.

As always, Carol Grace told a feel-good love story that is beautiful and heartwarming.

I just have a few comments though. Understanding that artistic license exists, Bridget signing up Josh as the face of Wild Mustang cologne is plausible. But it is not as easy as that. Josh has to be signed up first with an agency, a contract drawn and lawyers involved. From the story line, Wild Mustang cologne is supposed to be a big campaign. And that means there should have been a lot more people involved than just Bridget. I would have expected either two things - Josh travels to San Francisco with Bridget or San Francisco comes to Harmony, figuratively speaking.

For a major campaign that involves print, billboard and television perhaps even online (I presumed this because the camera men shot movie foofage), the money involved can have Josh afford sending Max to an Ivy League school for four years. And thus, a campaign this big should have Bridget running back and forth San Francisco and Harmony. If not Bridget, her assistant at least.

And the shoot was so minimal. A major campaign shot within one day and one morning! And there was no wardrobe, make up artist, director?
