5.0 out of 5 stars Action and Fun!
Hyper Jump was an immediate hit with my nieces and nephews. They were fighting to try it and challenge each other. You set it at various levels of challenge - and follow the directions - if you can move fast enough! Hop, jump, tag, reverse. I am a father and have been working with children for 10 years as a pediatric occupational therapist. Hyper Jump was a disappointment. The speaker voice is difficult to understand at times. The pads have a hard plastic tip where it connects to the air hose...if your kids are playing in their stocking feet, be ready to hear some "ouches". After playing it for a few weeks, the middle pod is already showing signs of breaking and not registering every time you step on it. And if you are looking for games that get your children moving, this is not it...HyperDash is better for that. This game was not worth the hype. Hope this helps!

The players are constantly twisting, moving and turning to follow the verbal sequence of commands. The big kids can play with the little kids and everyone has fun. One of the few toys that will pull my nephew away from video games. Really helps burn up pent up energy on rainy "indoors" days. A "must have" for families.

My 6-year old, very active son received this gift for his birthday. When we took it out of the box, we didn't know what to expect. I tried it first, and could see quickly how this toy/game could really work you out. My son and his friends tried it and were having a good time challenging each other...until one of the pods broke!! The design is so simple, but we can't seem to figure out why the green pod doesn't work anymore. We haven't even had it a month. These boys are a little rough, and I wasn't watching when it broke; but I can't see how it could've broken. We were really enjoying the game, so for the cost I might just replace it.

3.0 out of 5 stars broken in twenty minutes, November 24, 2008

We really enjoyed this game for the twenty minutes it worked. The green pod failed to register when we jumped on it. I was playing with the kids and we weren't rough. Hopefully they will be able to make the game more durable in the future.

We had so much fun with this toy, but it broke days after we got it. THe point of the game is to hit and jump on it, so why did it break so fast. My red pod for some apparent reason doesnt work anymore. It seems that some others have had this problem too. So buyer beware...this toy was fabulous while it worked. I know someone said they would be buying another one, but I can't afford to be buying this toy (no matter how fun it was) every month.

I also didn't find any trouble shooting solutions in the instructions. Good luck!!!! I won't be buying this toy again, BUT we will be mourning the fun we could have had playing with it.

My son received this as a gift, but my daughter was the one who played with it. Its difficult to get the pieces to stay together while playing, and the sound is hard to understand (plus it has no volume control to make it louder). After about 30 min of playing with a five year old-one of the plastic pads broke-going back to the store.

My son is age 9 and he thinks that this game is great but it has a small problem. The problems is that the pillows sometimes fall off but it is easy to put them back on. It was fun to play overall. My son and I had fun most jumping on the colored pillows. You can have lots of fun when the pillows do not fall off. My son thinks that Hyperdash is better. I would recommend this game to all families.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, December 28, 2008
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wild Planet Hyper Jump (Toy)
My daughters ( 6 and 4) received Hyper Dash last Christmas and have had so much fun with it that when they saw Hyper Jump they were very excited. Unfortunately that excitement lasted about 5 minutes as the game is not at all durable. The plastic pods are connected to the main hub by thin plastic tubes, which constantly pop off during the game. This messes up the player's time by having to stop and either reattach the tubes to the hub or to the pods. There's no way the pods could stand up to actually being jumped on - the girls were simply tagging them with their feet while standing still. It's a nice concept, but Hyper Dash is much more fun and more durable.

we put together this lil treasure, nabbed on clearance, anticipating a fun way to burn off some kid-energy. well, the darned thing officially fell apart within 3 minutes. not kidding. one of the little air puffers was broken from within, we couldn't get the side to register a jump even when we used out hands to squeeze it. junk. not even worth the less than ten dollars i paid for it. wasn't really even worth returning. don't waste ur money people. it doesn't hold up. and my kids are little for their ages. the colored little pillowy pads kept popping off even in the 3 minutes we tried to play. i think we spent 95 percent of the time trying to keep it put together, unsuccessfully.

This review is from: Wild Planet Hyper Jump (Toy)
My kids have hyperdash which is a great, durable game. This is a disappointment. After a few jumps on a pod it detaches itself from the tube or the tube comes loose from the center piece. It's very frustrating for the kids as this game is about beating the clock, but they constantly have to stop and reconnect parts.
