My daughter has always 'liked' her baby dolls, but was never too interested in playing with them for long. I ordered this baby doll for my daughter's 5th birthday because she said she wanted a doll that was more like a real baby. After I placed the order I decided that maybe a bigger baby would be better and ordered the Corolle 20" doll, planning to return the water baby. Both babies got here right on time, so on her birthday she got the Corolle doll and was pretty happy, especially with the idea that she could wear real 3 month old baby clothes. A couple days later she had a friend over to play and they both wanted to be mommy to the new baby -so I went ahead and opened the water baby. They were both thrilled! My daughter has become 'attached' to this baby like she never has to any other. With all others -the Corolle doll include- it was about changing the outfits a little, then maybe giving them some milk and putting them down for a nap -this one she has bathed (great in the tub -she semi sinks/floats)and cuddled, kissed, fed and wants with her everywhere. She is really a perfect baby doll, I thought she might be a little small and not be what my daughter wanted as far as seeming more "real", but my little girl thinks of her as a newborn, she is heavier because of the water and as close to feeling "real" as possible. I was worried about her not having 'blink' eyes too, but my little girl seems to like that better -she can have her laying in her arms while gazing in her eyes which isn't possible with 'sleepy eye' babies. Finally! a baby she loves! I am so so glad I didn't return this baby!

Bought this for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She's taken it into the tub with her and seems to really be enjoying it. Only drawback we've discovered so far: she can't open the back herself, so we had to add the water for her. No big deal there. It's a cute doll that DOESN'T require batteries or make all sorts of obnoxious sounds...YAHOO!

We have been through many dollies for our 4 year old. She doesnt like the loud babies, or the plastic ones. Finally we found a hit, this doll is perfect!! She's soft, but not mushy, and easy to dress/undress. This would be an easy hit for any little girl, the clothes are adoreable besides.

This is the perfect doll for any little girl. My daughter received this doll for Christmas 2010 when she was three. She loved it and still does. She takes great care of her doll and it still looks brand new. She has asked Santa for a baby changing station this year. Unfortunately, the makers of Water Baby do not make clothes, but thanks to Dollie & Me, my daughter and her Water baby have matching dresses and pajamas. Now that they have matching clothes, she is so proud of her baby and tends to play with it more often. Water Babies are safe and durable. Love the doll and the story behind it.

I bought one of these for my Grandmother many years ago...now that I have a little girl that loves dolls as much as she did, I wanted her to have the same experience. The doll is very life like-even without adding the water. This poor doll has seen its share of bumps and bruises and easily wipes clean and never leaked. Getting the knack to filling the doll correctly is fun....but once you figure it out-it's easy. Wonderful toy!
