I bought a Water Babie at a yard sale to keep at my house for my grandchildren. I liked it so much that I shopped for a Water Baby specifically this year for my 1 1/2yr. old grandaughter. She LOVES it! Her parents are happy because she did not have a doll she could play with in the tub or that was safe for her to put her mouth on. These dolls are very durable, yet soft. A child of any age can play with them in or out of water, drop them, throw them, squeeze them, wash them with soap. Safe for very young children because; though the arms, head and legs move, there are no moving eyes; molded "hair;" non-toxic vinyl body and head.

We purchased this for our 2-year-old's birthday a few months ago, and it has received a reasonable amount of use. Having read some of the reviews, and knowing how much our daughter LOVES dolls, we thought it would be a much bigger hit with her than it was. The construction seems first-rate, and any concerns I had about the doll leaking water were quickly dismissed. It is an attractive and life-like doll. However, a few things caused me to lower my rating. First, it is a bit challenging figuring how much water to add to the doll without making a bit of a mess - not a big deal, especially since filling only needs to be done once (or at least very infrequently). Second, it lacks the soft, cuddly feel that a dolls made from other materials have. Third, a doll's ultimate value is in how much the recipient appreciates it. In our case, neither our 2-year-old nor any of her slightly older sisters have taken a fancy to the water baby, even though some of them have a doll with them most of the day(!). That's not to say that other kids won't enjoy this, but this has been our experience.

we have had 2 water babies for over 2 years now.... they go in the bath, pool, thrown all over the place... every child at the playground plays with these 2 baby dolls when my daughters bring them to the park with them.,.... very durable... never any problems with leaks.... when you bring them in the bath or pool they will collect water in the necks.... wrap them in a towel and let them dry and there is no problem! Remember to empty the water and clean out the baby ( i mix soap with water put it in the baby... shake around and empty) then fill with new water every once in a while...the water will become stagnent if you dont.... these babies are amazing!

This doll was purchased for my 6 year old granddaughter to play with at my home and she does not put it down. Her two year old cousin already had one I purchased a year ago and she also will not put hers down...in fact when one is not at my home (which they are very often) the will play with both dolls.
This doll is a perfect "real" doll. I wish I had had one when I was a girl...

Purchased a couple of these and both were fine for about 6-9 months and then they started leaking where the neck and head come together.

Buy another doll.

The doll is far too heavy when filled with water. My almost two year old loves it, but can't pick it up when it's filled with water. The doll has a heart "tatoo" on it's tushy (which it kinda weird). Overall a great buy. Comes with a little teddy bear too.

I bought this as a gift because my daughter loves her Water Baby and sleeps with it every night. I only filled it up with water once, as it is quite heavy! So I've since emptied it out and it's lovely just the same...

I bought four of these dolls for my granddaughters. They like them very much. They are not real soft for sleeping, but they have lots of fun with them. They are cute looking dolls and have cute outfits too. They also come with a little toy bear you can also fill with water, that they play with in the bathtub.

I gave this to my 4 year old great niece and she loves it. We didn't put water in it, it's very cute and doesn't need water in it to make it a nice toy. I'll buy another one of these dolls for her for her birthday.
