These are great. My grand-daughters love it. This is all about Crayons - truly the currency of any kid's kingdom. The toy includes Crayola (the best) crayons for coloring, as cargo for trucks and planes, and as simple building units for animal bodies, street signs, trees, etc. The set comes with lots of pre-cut artwork panels that can be colored and then easily folded into buildings, archways, etc. Very cool. Later the kids (or mom) can download additional colorable artwork from the Wild Planet website - for free. Airplanes store crayons in their fuselage, trucks carry crayons in their cargo areas. Crayons and those pesky little pieces of crayons (all 2 million of them ,per kid) finally have their day in the sun. Now they have a place to live, work, color, build, be transported. These are very well made. All the provided plastic parts are durable. Even the friction fit of the crayons into plastic parts has a perfect feel for a young kid. The people and the animals are darling. Apparently some awards have already been won by this system. Figures.

I bought this set for my 5 year old niece who loves to color. I spent some time using this set with her. And, I think it's cute! But, my niece didn't find the little plastic accessories that come with it at all exciting. We did enjoy coloring the zoo for a while, but she got bored with it. I'll be surprised if she pulls the set out and plays with it again.

As noted on the package, the set comes with a limited number of crayons. That wasn't an issue - we have lots & lots of crayons!

This provides countless hours of entertainment. Definitely recommend for kids interested in arts and spending time on creative and imaginative endeavors. Absolutely recommend this. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 6 year old daughter.I have to say,for being so simple,it really is a lot of fun! I would suggest it for any child that is interested in coloring/drawing,arts and crafts,etc.My daughter is very into those types of things,and she was delighted to find that she could color her very own zoo.The play pieces that come with it are also a nice touch,because then your child can also play in the zoo that they created.The little animals connect in the middle with crayons,which I thought was just adorable.The one and only thing that would make this toy better,is if the coloring area were made of something sturdier.It is pretty much just a giant piece of paper.Overall,a great toy!

This is a great item for multiple age groups. It unfolds out to a big poster that a group can color on. Easy entertainment for parents and kids of all ages. Great gift idea!

The "mat" (should not be called that, as it's just thin paper) was rolled up tight, and could not be made to lay flat, no matter how I rolled it backwards. And because it's so thin, all that rolling backwards caused it to wrinkle like crazy. So it's a mess.

The "stand-up" pieces are so thin they just fall right over.

The toy pieces are sturdy plastic, but most of them require a flimsy crayon to be inserted between the pieces to assemble them. Crayons are not built to hold weight or be played with like a toy (or as the weight-bearing part of a toy). So they just snap, snap, snap, breaking constantly. Some of the animals can be assembled front-and-back directly together without a crayon in the middle, and if they had made them all this way, there might be hope of using them.

This thing has "design flaw" written all over it. I can't imagine why it's had any good reviews. Because you can color on it, like a coloring book? Um, that's something I can get at the dollar store for a buck. Don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk.

I purchased two of these sets last Christmas while they were on sale at Amazon. One for my daughter and one for a friend's daughter-both of them 4 yrs old. The set basically includes two sheets of paper to color, the animal figures, some fold-out cardboard pieces and crayons. Unfortunatelty, the crayons they used to put the animals together broke right away ( and both of these girls are extremely gentle with their toys) and after a few minutes of coloring they were done with the set. I'm glad I bought this when they were deeply discounted since I do not think the sets are worth much more. The cute little animals are the only innovative part of this set. Other than that you are just buying two printable sheets and a box of crayons at a premium.

I bought several of these as gifts and every kid liked them. It was fun to play with them with the kids and I got them on sale so they were a good value.

My 5 year old daughter received this for Christmas. I thought it was cute. She colored for a short time and then lost interest. I ended up coloring the rest. lol

My daughter loved this. It comes with 2 double sided coloring sheets, which is better then just one. I am not sure if you can order more, or have to just buy the whole thing again, but for this price its still worth it. My daughter just scribbed where she wanted on it, and a crayon broke asap, but still, the price was complementary of these issues.

A great crayola product, I would defininitly reccomend this!!!! SO CUTE! I will proubably buy another version of this for her birthday coming up.
