My 4-year old picked this watch out at the store. I thought it was way too old for him but it was his money, so what the hey? He wore it to bed for about a week and still likes to wear on occasion a couple of months after the purchase. He has figured out how to read our time (pressing the said button several times until it displays 'NYC'). The best feature by far for him is the secret message capsules; he loves getting me to write something for him and then giving the capsule to his Dad or sister. The capsules are too stiff for him to insert/get out of the watch by himself, but it is meant for older kids.
He has had so much fun with this watch that I bought one for my 9-year old nephew for Christmas.
If you have a budding spy in your family, don't hesitate to get this watch. In my opinion this is the kind of thing that all boys just love!

My 10 year old daughter received this as a Christmas gift. It was on her list. She really loves it and it works great. The only problem was that after only 2 days, the display went blank for no apparent reason. I read the directions and managed to reset it (with a safety pin and pressing hard) and now it works great. She wears it to school and uses it to tell them time and all her friends admire it. She especially likes how it shows the time all around the world. She hasn't played with it as a spy watch that much but still loves it.

Bought this for my grandson after reading reviews. When he opened it up at Christmas his eyes lit up and he said "wow". Most of the toys he opened up and just went to another. He was so excited he wore it all day and consequently went home with it. I asked him (for this review) what he thought of the watch that Santa bought him - he is 6 years old. He said it was "something I wanted my whole life and I love it". What he didn't like about it was that there was one thing he couldn't figure out (alone). He told me not to tell Santa that one.

James Bond move over, this spy watch is all the rage here in Ohio! When we bought this watch last year for Christmas, our little guy (8) couldn't wait to use it. Went to bed with it on, picked up spies all over the world (easy, since he knew what time it was) and he LOVED writing messages and sending them off to his spy friends. The imagination this thing sparks is nothing short of amazing. He still loves it and uses it all the time. Highly, highly recommend.

I had the first generation of this watch but the little grey capsules always fell out. Now the capsules are red and actually stay in.It even comes with secret message paper now. I remember when i had to cut my own! Thanks for the update.

My grandson received this watch on his 8th birthday and he absolutely loves it - it's easy to set and he has lots of fun locating the different time zones and countries. Very educational and loads of fun.

My almost five year old boy (who wanted a watch) got this tonight for Channukah, went to bed playing with it, writing notes, loosing all the little pieces and then sleeping with it on his arm. He is delighted.

My granddaughter LOVES her spy gear. The only drawback to this watch is the teeny tiny secret message capsule. Cool in theory, but a little too small. She still loves to use it, but has trouble manipulating it alone, and gets frustrated to have to ask "the enemy" (aka parental units) for help putting her message back into the capsule.
I've included my review of the spycase breifcase below--these are some cool toys for kids.

My granddaughter LOVES this toy. We gave it to her for her 7th birthday. She is in super-spy mode from daylight to dusk, and then some. We call her Ms. Shin Impossible. She has played with this almost non-stop for 3 weeks now. We also got her the wristwatch & she loves them both. We'll be adding to her spy collection for Christmas. One of the great things about this case is the extra room it has in it & it's secret compartment. She has such a great imagination and will turn any common object into a "spy" something-or-other and store it in her super secret spycase compartment! The "intruder detector" is also great fun for her & her friends. this really is a fun, durable toy for kids that like to pretend they're a spy.

I purchased it for my 7-year-old, he noticed that the time is not accurate and the LED doesn't have strong light at night...

Just a toy for big kids, don't use it as a watch.

This item has actually been purchased twice from me as it was placed in water during showertime and the disappointed of not having it was huge. This is NOT a waterproof watch so please remove when near water. The things and the excitement of having the coolest watch is awesome.
