My 8 year old spent his own money to buy this toy and was so disappointed in the results. It doesn't magnify sound at all. In fact, my kid's joke is that you actually hear better out of the ear you *haven't* put the ear but into because at least its not getting covered.

This is definitely something to get for that spy in your life. Cool high-tech gadgets! The clip-on ear function is great in theory but there hasn't been a child yet to use this that didn't need help (all above age 8). With that in mind, it is a ton of fun watching them sleuth around the corners trying to spy on their compadres. Great, great fun, lots of laughs and giggles. Highly recommend!

The toy is what you'd expect for the price and age group. It doesn't stay on my 7 year old's ear very well, which disappointed him, because he has to hold it and really push it into his ear to hear anything. But it does amplify sounds from other rooms, so he is able to "spy" on his brother, like he wanted to. I'm satisfied with what it is, for the price I paid.

I really like to buy wild planet spy gear and I bought the mission action kit which had these included and it really helped me in my "missions" that I like to do with my Dad. The coverings make the listener and light really durable. the light was really good in the darkness and the listener really magnified the voices. I think this is a really good toy.

I really love this toy. I use it to hear other people through doors. My dog got a hold of it and it didn't break at all so it's very durable! I use it almost every day. I would suggest this for boys and girls ages 4 and up. I am 8 years old and I really like it.

My son (7) thought he would like this product, but it turns out to be wimpy. The "listen in" micro is a joke, and both ear sets don't really fit on a child's ear. Save your money!

The "infrared" and audio spy can't be used at the same time as they are designed for the same ear. The earpiece is awkwardly formed and does not stay snug. The plastic cup used to receive sound very cheaply made, the cord is too short to reach well (safety protocol, but impedes function). 5 year old boy with an excellent imagination for creative play used for about 3 minutes. Save your money.
