My boys are almost 6 and they love this toy. Although it would be great for both of them to use it together at the same time, it is a fun toy. My suggestion is not to store the extra ammunition as it broke off easily and we are down a ammo piece. What would be good would be being able to use two together, somehow like with remote control cars having different frequencies.....that way two could ambush eachother.....

This is a great shooter. The missiles travel a good distance and packs a wallop. The kids put this on a r/c car and chased the dog around firing at him, (the dog wasn't hurt, but he kept an wary eye on this launcher!). We had a blast over the holidays and I recommend this product, just don't shoot at the face or eyes!

More than your ordinary blaster...,

I have had many Spy Gear products over the years, and this one is excellent. Here are the basics: the blaster has four slots that you put the darts into; the fold-out tripod is on the bottom; the reciever is on the top of the main blaster. The handheld remote trigger device can slide and lock onto the blaster so that the signal transmitter is ligned up with the reciever; there is an adjustable flip-up sight on top of the transmitter; and there is a big red button on the back of the transmitter, and I don't think I have to tell you what that does. The tripod can be adjusted pretty accutely, the sight is not much use, as the range of the dart to the target will probably vary because the dart jumps when it first comes out of the gun. The rate of fire is less than impressive; when you press the button, the "warm up" sound effect plays for about two seconds, then the dart fires, although the range and accuracy of the dart are very impressive, although getting hit in the face is not very pleasent. Here are a couple of games I made up for one person to use with the gum and remote: one is where you sit in a fixed position, aim the blaster at the place you are sitting, blindfold yourself, and fire! There is no way whatsoever to tell when and where the dart will hit, and so I named the game Agony! The other one is where you sit with the gun aimed at you like last time, but instead, you fire the darts and try to catch theml; a good coordination game. You can probably think of more games to play with this gun, so I reccomend you get it and figure them out!
