Got these for my niece who is obsessed with animals. I was surprised by how much larger they were than I expected, from the little picture on the website I assumed they were about 2 inch long figurines, however, they are much larger. For your reference the Giraffe is about 6 inches tall. My only complaint is that the animals are all roughly the same size and do not represent a true reflection of their relative difference in actual size.

For the cost, I would have expected a little higher quality. These animals have visible seam lines where the head is attached to the body and not all of them stand up. Plus, even though the bag was sent in a protective box, the bag was still ripped along the seam.

i bought some Wild Republic sea creatures for my niece and she loved them. and i was very impressed by the quality and realism of the figures. outstanding product.

i thought i'd give it a go with another Wild Republic product and these were an immediate smash hit. she was playing with them within seconds and showing them to me and marching them around.

i like that they are good sized (5"-7" as stated), so there is good detail to them. like the sea creatures, these are very good quality, too.

strongly recommend for any kid interested in animals.

Yes, it's a fun toy - but PVC is a toxic plastic (#3). I'm looking for plastic animals made of polypropylene (#5) - the safest, most stabile plastic. If anyone knows of any, please let me know.

The animals look nice but they have a strong smell of chemicals. Even after months of having them, I still smell them when opening the toy box.

I just opened up the package, which came faster than estimated, and I am very pleased with the quality. The detail in the animals is pretty nice, complete with textured fur and wrinkled skin where appropriate. All of the animals in the African Animals set stand up on their own (I can't say that for a couple of other animals in other Wild Republic animal sets), which is what you'd hope for. One thing I would like to point out is that the animals are certainly not to scale with each other. This definitely isn't a deal breaker for me at all, however. Another thing I'd like to point out is that the animals really are made to look like the actual animal they represent, and are in no way cartoon-like. I'm giving it four stars instead of five simply because of the scale issue. All in all, I would buy it again, as well as other Wild Republic animals sets.

I got these to use on my nephew's 1st birthday cake. The party theme was Zoo animals. They looked fantastic on the cake and he played with them after the cake was gone. Not intended for small children but with supervision they're okay.

I bought these along with the farm animals for my granddaughter. They are a good size for small hands and encourage a child to use their imagination.

These are great! They are big enough for little toddler hands to grasp, but small enough to take in the car. They are very detailed which makes them super realistic and they are fun to teach with.

Good animals for the money. The variety of animal packs available make it easy to build an interesting assortment of animals. Animals are good size. Some are even large.

** Everything plastic is made in China.
** No parts of these animals appear like they could come off.

I think that these animals are as safe as any plastic animal could possibly be.
