5.0 out of 5 stars Great chemistry kit!
I purchased this kit for my 12 year-old son and he absolutely loved it. In a matter of fact he tried to create all the experiments in one day... The projects are easy to follow and can be reused couple times. The kit allows you to create your own blood clots, fake fish eggs, jelly worms, tadpole soup, bouncing doo doos (kind like silly putty), and hyperlaunchers...

1.0 out of 5 stars chemistry set
Have not received the toy as of 12/30/11, so I am unable to make a rating at this time. Have no idea where it is or why I have not received.

I purchased this kit for my 12 year-old son and he absolutely loved it. In a matter of fact he tried to create all the experiments in one day... The projects are easy to follow and can be reused couple times. The kit allows you to create your own blood clots, fake fish eggs, jelly worms, tadpole soup, bouncing doo doos (kind like silly putty), and hyperlaunchers (bouncing balls). The only thing that didn't work great was the hyperlaunchers. The ball is made with the help of a mold and everytime my son tried to remove the mold, the ball would break. Not sure if perhaps we should wait more time for the setting on that one.
Other than that, I think this kit is pretty neat.

You get what it says you will get. No gimmics here. I did read in a few reviews that people had trouble with the ball launcher. Seems their balls tend to fall apart when opening the mold. The instructions say to soak the balls for 30 secs and dry for 1 min before removing. They also suggest that if you are having trouble, you should increase the times to 1 min for soak and 2 mins for dry. I was paranoid so I soaked for 5 mins and dried for 10! What happened? They came out perfect every time. Just read over instructions at least once before beginning any of the projects and you'll do fine. Its great fun. My son is 5 so I do most of the 'work' but he enjoys 'helping' and learning about whats going on during the experiments. Everything you make can be 'played with' to an extent so nothing is just 'sitting there' like a dead useless project.

My 8 yr old son used his own money to buy this. He was able to do every experiment on his own, which we both appreciated! They almost all worked out...would definitely recommend it! He loves science and this was a great way for him to do something fun, science related and independent.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a family of 4 kids. They loved it. It's very entertaining. The kids get a kick out making guts and slimy things.

We haven't used it yet, so I'll have to update my review later.

My 6 yo was so excited to receive this kit. The intent was to have me and/or my husband work together on the experiments, following the instructions carefully. After use I would strongly recommend putting the kit beyond a child's reach due to the nature of the chemicals.

The kit came with everything we needed from the list shown.

I bought this because my son loved to do simple science experiments and would always ask for more. The experiments that were included in the kit were all simple for my son (he's 7) to do with simple instructions and loved to do it the whole time. The only downside on the kit is that a main ingredient you need to use in almost all the different projects needs to be made first and rest over night, leaving the child(ren) waiting to do even more.

This chemistry was the first thing they fought over, which I must admit was very amusing since it was an educational item.
Everybody wanted to try it.
