Bought this for both my wife and a friend of ours. Both of them love this book.
The patterns are bright and colorful. The steps are easy to understand without being simplistic.
My wife just completed the one on the cover and is looking forward to her next one.

As the husband, I'm glad she is thrilled with it (even though I have no clue as to why she is so happy with it).

Every house should have a teapot - it's what makes the difference between a house and a home. Sitting around taking tea should be a time to unwind, to linger, to share some oh-so-precious quality time with family and friends. And thanks to Loani Prior's vibrant, zany and amazingly imaginative Wild Tea Cosies, tea time can now be taken to the next level.

Having the girlfriends over? Once pink pom-pommed Party Girl (page 70) hits the table, the conversation may become a little more Sex and the City.
Rainy weather got you down? Not with Sunflower (page 48) amongst the cups and saucers.
Need an ice-breaker for first time tea-date with future mother-in-law? Sandwich, Anyone? (page 20) will have you covered.

Loani's book just keeps on giving. Ever bought a craft book and never made so much as one project? That won't happen with Wild Tea Cosies. You'll want to make everything - twice ... one to keep, one to give. What's more, Loani's cosies are not only fun, but quick and easy! Her style is so warm, encouraging and engaging, and her creativity so infectious, that even nervous first time knitters will be inspired to customise their own colours, textures and yes, even designs.

Delicious. I want more.

I have never enjoyed a knitting project as much as I've enjoyed knitting these wild and zany tea cosies! Judging from the gleefulness of these cosies, I wish I could have tea with this author. She must be a hoot! The directions are clear and step-by-step. There are a variety of tea cosie patterns that could be easily adapted in order to create your own statement. If you have a friend who loves tea - or if you are a tea fanatic yourself - brighten the world by making one of these joyful cosies. They are the Pringles potato chips of knitting - you can't make just one! Enjoy!

Reluctant or occasional knitters won't be able to resist dusting off the needles once they discover this book. It's not just a book of patterns for tea cosies, Loani invites you to be inventive as she instructs and advises in a witty and helpful way. You can start by following the patterns as written but then you can try out new colours, combinations and additions. She's also encouraging people to share their own work through her blog [...] . This is also a great book to buy as a pressie for your favourite aunty, mother-in-law and gal pals.

I want to make, or make my own riff on, at least a dozen of these tea cosies, even if I never use them on a teapot! These are admirably varied and creative patterns, escaping from the two dimensions of most knitting. Some patterns specify certain yarns, but many can be made with whatever you fancy and have in your stash. A springboard for the creative knitter; but the enthusiastic copyist will enjoy this book also.

Tea cosies can come in a range of colors, styles, and shapes: WILD TEA COSIES tells how to make the most of the tea cosy and provides over twenty step-by-step patterns. Color photos on facing pages pair finished products to instructions on how to create and embellish a tea cosy. From a pompom-packed pink pot cover to a knitted sea squirt motif, this is packed with unusual and fun ideas.

This is such an inspiring book. All the patterns are written with step by step instructions. My knitting friends have used Loani's (or the Queen of the Tea Cosies) ideas to create their own designs - producing a gaggle (or it is a possie) of beautiful T cosies. I would highly recommend these projects as they are (mostly) easy and quick to make. Would entice even the most reluctant knitter. I love her work!

I thought the book Tea Cozies was beautiful and imaginative, but this one has it beat. I've had this book for years and have not even been tempted to make any of the patterns, and I don't care, it is so much fun to look at and pretend. I would love to have them all.
They would slay my friends and neighbors with envy, as kitchen decorations or gifts.

It's likely I would have tried a few patterns but I do not have sufficient stash - not enough scraps of the right colors in the right size yarns; But, as I said, I am happy to keep this book as an inspiring picture book.
