4.0 out of 5 stars Wild Thangz is an understatement!, October 14, 2004
This review is from: Wild Thangz (Paperback)
This trio of best friends had a common interest unlike many. They were all cute, in college heading in the right direction armed with much sex appeal and wasn't afraid to use it. Jazmyn seemed to be the most logical one of them all, but my assumptions were quickly deterred as her character was extremely naive at times letting Brea's words echo in her thoughts. Trina was the spoiled, book smart, big bootay sista of the trio who quickly learned that life wasn't all peaches and cream without having daddy to depend on. Brea was a mess! She was very manipulative, influential and the biggest freak of them all realizing that sex can get you ALMOST anything you think you may want:-) Overall the book was a good fast page turner just as his first novel. There were lots of twist, turn and many many scandalous steamy sex scenes. Keep em cumming Winston :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Urban Story, August 22, 2004
This review is from: Wild Thangz (Paperback)
The thing I like most about Mr. Chapman is that his writing makes you feel like you're actually there. Also, his unique urban stories, more than what's typically out there.

In Wild Thangz, a trio of best friends explore all situations....and I do mean explore. Very HOT.

As Jazmyn, Brea and Trina try to find what makes them happy, they run into all types of circumstances that causes them to question their friendship and lifestyle.

Mama always said, choose your friends wisely. That Brea is crazzzzy. I sure hope there's a sequel.

I'd suggest this book to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible and Very Wild Stuff, August 22, 2004
This review is from: Wild Thangz (Paperback)
I loved this book. It started off a little different than Winston Chapman's other book, Caught Up. It was very funny and sassy in the beginning as the characters were introduced. Then gradually, situations became more intenses, leading up to an incredible finale!

Incredible, Mr. Chapman! I look for more soon, but this time don't take so long between novels, please!

4.0 out of 5 stars Thangz are about to get wild, December 4, 2005

Can these three girls get any wilder? If so, it would be unbelievable. Brea is a Bronx native and is hip to the street. The only way to make a dolla is to hustle. A nine to five is not going to work. Using her body to gain not only attention but money she is on top of her game.

Trina is the rich girl out the group and is still battling her nerdy ways from high school. Hanging out with her girls brings out a side that not only shocks her friends but her as well. Having a big butt and a smile is not what it's cracked up to be.

Jazmyn can only deal with her friends for so long. Brea is way too much. Being ghetto is not always cute. Trina is getting way too wild. Trying to hold down the fort and pursue her singing career is getting way too much for her to handle.

For these three trouble is unavoidable.

Winston Chapman as usual brings the heat. This story kept me entertained all the way through. It was steamy, funny and had a lot of suspense. This is a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Whatta Encore!, August 21, 2004
This review is from: Wild Thangz (Paperback)
I anxiously awaited another novel from Winston Chapman and was very happy that the wait was worthwhile! I loved the interaction between the characters and Chapman's ending always leaves me wanting more! I don't wanna give away the story, but some familiar characters make a cameo from Chapman's other novel, Caught Up.

Keep them coming!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wild Thangz by Winston Chapman: An PeoplewholoveGoodBooks Review, July 30, 2005
This review is from: Wild Thangz (Paperback)
Wild Thangz by Winston Chapman is a page-turner from beginning to end! It is the story of Jazmyn, Trina, and Brea. The 3 girls are best friends who attend Spelman College together. Jazmyn wants to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer and plans to drop out of school to do it but risks creating drama in her family if she does so, at what cost she will pay to pursue her dream? Trina is the smart one who plans to finish college until an unexpected family drama causes her to rethink her plans and Brea is what you would call "Ghetto- Fabulous", she's on the verge of losing her scholarship due to lack of funding and is about to leave school. She decides to use her "female charms" to get what she wants and it leads to major drama with unexpected consequences and repercussions as she puts her life and the lives of her friends in danger.

Wild Thangz has it all: Drama, Suspense, Friendship, and Betrayal. The ending will leave you speechless and full of questions, I hope there is a sequel to this book coming out and soon!! This book is HOT!! It is one of the best urban dramas that I have read in a long time; I give it 5 stars!! Reviewed by Shay C of PeoplewholoveGoodBooks.

5.0 out of 5 stars WILD TRIO, November 10, 2005

This review is from: Wild Thangz (Paperback)
These girls were somethin else. Trina was a closet freak. Brea was a lil h** and Jazymn was... well she was your typical girl closet freak/h**. I liked this book. It basically showed how three friends go through their twenties, being surrounded by money and men. The ending was very surprising. I can't wait for the sequal. I hope Simon finds out about Jamal. Jazymn lil sister was a h**. She was stupid.
