Product Description

The sexy sequel to the $30 million hit erotic-thriller Wild Things. A 17-year-old girl expecting to inherit her stepfather's fortune, finds herself in a love/hate relationship with a fellow classmate who appears suddenly claiming to be the illegitimate daughter and rightful heir. Great suspense filled with sex, money, deceit and murder.

Wild Things 2, the purported sequel to the 1998 guilty-pleasure classic, returns to steamy Florida for another tale of trashy thrills among the lives of high school students. Brittany (Susan Ward, of the Aaron Spelling soaps Malibu Shores and Sunset Beach) is a beach-volleyball stud and nice girl whose chance for happiness is threatened by her vicious rival Maya (Leila Arcieri). Toss in a suspicious investigator (Isaiah Washington), some plot twists, and laughable dialogue, and sit back for the ride. Wild Things 2 isn't really a sequel; none of the characters (and not surprisingly none of the actors) return, though there is a re-do of the original's most famous scene. That's about the only semi-noteworthy aspect of this straight-to-video potboiler. --David Horiuchi

This had to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The plot is so much like the first one that this movie even has a 3-way sex scene like the first was famous for.

And so on, with little deviation from the plot of the first Wild Things.

I just saw this movie and couldn't believe how terrible it is. The plot is so much like the first one that this movie even has a 3-way sex scene like the first was famous for. The film was done so poorly that if you watch carefully you'll notice that right in the middle of the scene shoes suddenly appear on Maya's feet, whereas she had been barefoot only seconds earlier. If an entire cast and crew is too stupid to notice that, then you can just imagine how the rest of the film goes. Also, the whole idea of using rats to sabotage the electrical system in an airplane is too far-fetched to be believed. Avoid this at all costs.

The principal of Blue Bay High may not know why his students love their volleyball, but we do.
Wild Things 2 recycles the set-pieces from the quadruple-cross neo-noir thriller Wild Things. (1) Rich b-ch and trailer trash who hate each other listen to police lecture in high school auditorium. (2) Rich b-ch attacks trailer trash on witness stand during trial. (3) Girls get together with conspirator in motel room for three-way. And so on, with little deviation from the plot of the first Wild Things. You see everything coming.
Unfortunately, Wild Things 2 doesn't have the acting talents of Kevin Bacon, Neve Campbell, Matt Dillon, Theresa Russell, Carrie Snodgress, Denise Richards, or Bill Murray. And in Wild Things 2 the twists and turns don't come from the characters, the way they did in Wild Things, especially Neve Campbell's bitter young woman.
It is possible to retell a story in a sequel using the same plot and still grab an audience. The Rage: Carrie 2 is a good example. It's director Katt Shea's feminist response to Brian De Palma's version of Stephen King's story. The Rage makes it clear that the telekinetic adolescent girl is a victim of cruelty from others, not some original sin within herself because she's grown into a woman.
The only reason they made this movie was for the money. Not good enough.

the 1st one, which i am watching right now, its great. Very clever, very unique, all that fun stuff...but this....its so exactly like the 1st one its embarrasing and stupid! Why would anyone put millions into this movie!? its a total waste of time and the girls in this cant act and they look like they were plucked right off the street (2 dolla! 2 dolla for the girl who looks like a crack hoe)! This was a bad way to do the origional. It stood great alone and there was no need for a sequal, and if one had to be done, why not come up with something fresh, not the exact something that was captured in the 1st and captured so much better! waste of time, waste of money, waste of anything and everything that went into making this...

Is this a follow-up to Wild Things 1? Not even close. Trying to cash in by using the title and the numerical '2', this movie plays like a bad USA B movie. A no-name cast and a silly storyline, very little of the elements that made WT1 so popular. If you want the real thing, just buy Wild Things(the R rated version) and if you must have it, the new 'unrated' version. WT2 sadly is a frisbee.

The plot to this movie or so called sequal is horrible. I rented this movie expecting something good and I end up falling asleep. I actually had to watch it several times just to find out what really happened. Don't even buy it, it is a waist of your money!

What does WILD THINGS 2 have going against it from the get-go:

A) No Denise Richards B) No name actors C)Being a crappy direct-to-video sequel D)No Denise Richards NAKED . . .

What is wrong with WILD THINGS 2 after the fact:

A)A script that tries to overcompensate its idiocy with more twists than a corkscrew B)ONE sex scene -- A (weak) threesome, one of the few things even linking this to the original C)Sexy actresses who star in a sexy movie but decide not to be naked (leaving us with a body double and naked-from-behind shot) . . . Wait let me play that again!

If I seem to be dwelling a little too much on the sexuality aspects of this film maybe its because this is an EROTIC THRILLER.

Did I mention no Denise Richards?

One of the standout features of "Wild Things" was that in spite of having an obvious emphasis on the eye-candy content, it also contained enough to keep the other areas of the mind stimulated. In addition to a cast that was very pleasant to look at, doing some things that were equally pleasing to the eye, it had a credible plot that read like an everyday event in parts of America. Most importantly, however, the original Wild Things wasn't afraid to recognise that adults have a right to be entertained, too.

When you take the original "Wild Things" and remove everything that made it worthwhile, you get "Wild Things 2." Many key scenes from "Wild Things" get replicated here, only there is a certain something lacking. It could be credible acting. It could be a decent script. But what is most apparently missing here is creativity. The photography, so lush and dynamic in the first film, is flat and uninteresting here. About twenty-eight minutes into the film, we hear one of the detectives say something along the lines of "oh, the plot thickens". This plot would need to eat a whole turkey for every meal every day for a year in order to stop resembling a death camp survivor.

"Wild Things 2" starts out weakly and never shifts gears. It starts out on the assumption that it has given enough exposition to make sense, and simply throws scenes in the viewer's face without any hint of transition. It is almost as if an entire half-hour of footage was deleted from throughout the film, all from between one scene or another.

Another feature of "Wild Things" that "Wild Things 2" left out is the plot twists.
