Good Overview of Andes Climbing, February 5, 2009
This review is from: Wild Winds: Adventures in the Highest Andes (Paperback)
This is an easy-to-read book about the author's adventures (and misadventures) climbing 5 mountains in the Andes Range of South America. The author writes well and articulates many of the difficulties Americans would have climbing in South America...particularly those peaks off the beaten path such as Llullaillaco, Nevado Sajama, Cerro Pissis and Ojos De Salado. The author has a good story to tell...and it is a good read. The black and white pictures are okay, but a professional photographer such as the author should have included more and better prints.
