This review is from: Wild Woman's Guide to Etiquette: Saving the World One Handshake at a Time (Paperback)
As I venture into this new world of work I realize that I might not have all the answers when it comes to etiquette. Of course we learn all that we can from our parents, but sometimes certain things do escape us (pay special attn to Ch. 11). This book has become my personal guide and refrence when situations arise that I might not know the answers to. I strongly recommend the Wild Woman's Guide to Etiquette to everyone, weather they are new to the business world or seasoned veterans!

What an AWESOME resource! I am one of the first in my family to get a college degree. There were so many things that I didn't know and needed to learn. There are many things that I still need to learn. What you don't know can make or break a business relationship. I plan to share this book and others written by this author with young women attending high school and college.

You better watch your manners, fool, or the wild woman will have to scold you! Even a Southern boy can learn from this thorough etiquette guide. Forget American Express. Don't go to a lunch or dinner date without this book.

Sharon Hill's "Wild Woman's Guide to Etiquette" is a masterful, clever, and candid compilation of the "dos and don'ts" of proper social behavior...For anyone seeking a comprehensive, lessons-in-life guide that handily addresses "everything you wanted to know about social etiquette but didn't know who to ask"--this is the book.As the author acknowledges, good manners and proper etiquette never go out of style...and you only get one chance at a making a first impression...you may as well make it a good one. This is a crisply written, hold-your-interest guide that is guaranteed to sharpen your social skills, and leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated. Most importantly, it will instill a bulletproof confidence in your ability to neutralize even the most awkward of social encounters and experiences with grace and finesse. This is an ideal primer that should be in everyone's hip pocket, whether you are attending a casual get together or a formal affair. ...Don't leave home without it.

This book is written by a phenomenal author. She not only writes in a way that is easy to read and understand, but the material includes everyday tidbits everyone needs to know. It is a practical, easy and entertaining read. I would encourage every high school or college student to read it before they go into the professional work world. While I have been in the business world for over 10 years, I bought it to sharpen my business acumen and would recommend it to any business professional. In our culture today we have gotten lax on many etiquette details; this book is a great refresher for what you know and a fascinating read for things you thought you knew or "should" know, but never quite realized or applied.
