About the Author
Michael Morpurgo is the award-winning author of more than fifty books for children. He won the Whitbread Children's Novel Award for The Wreck of the Zanzibar and the Smarties Book Prize for The Butterfly Lion. Several of his novels have been adapted for movies and television. He served as the U.K.'s Children's Laureate from 2003 to 2005.
