5.0 out of 5 stars Great Guitar For The Beginner, October 3, 2005
By
"The Woj" (Downers Grove, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: WildFire Electric Guitar Combo Pack - Black Finish
Everything you need is right here and delivered to your door very fast. The guitar, amp, etc... were all very well packaged and came out of the box safe & sound. With a 24" scale length based on the Gibson Les Paul, this is a much easier guitar to play for beginners compared to the 25 1/2 " scale length which is standard on most Strat knock-offs. If you are buying this for a child, their smaller hands will really apperciate this fretboard.

And while noone will mistake this for a Gibson Les Paul, it is very well put together. The frets are all very even and no warping of the neck at all.

The amp cranks out some decent volume and gets pretty dirty on the distortion end too. Once you become a proficient player you will obviously upgrade on this set. But until that time, you do not need to look any further for a great started guitar. Come on! Over 200 bucks off the list! Add to cart now and you'll be driving your neighbors Gonzo within a week!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guitar and package for its price, May 14, 2005
This review is from: WildFire Electric Guitar Combo Pack - Black Finish
I am only a beginner but I think this is an excellent buy for the price. I like the guitar very much. Everything was in excellent condition and works great. The amp is plenty for my living room. I highly recommend this package for any beginner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid guitar - great player, great price., December 16, 2006

I have bought 3 of these Wildfire guitars for the school music room I work at. These are a nice size for the female players and a good fit for big guys too. This guitar has a set neck, big fretboard inlays, carved top, smooth finish, quality tuners and a solid input jack. It plays very well and sounds great when amplified. As others have noted, a change (upgrade) of strings is always a good idea on any inexpensive guitar. I have not noticed any unusually high string breakage on these Wildfire guitars as another reviewer stated. I think this axe makes a monkey out of the Squier and Epiphone guitars I was stocking in the music room previously. The students all prefer the Wildfire too.
