Wildcraft! An Herbal Adventure Game is a cooperative board game that teaches edible and medicinal Plants. Wildcraft! teaches 25 important edible and medicinal plants and their uses in mostly first aid situations. (Wildcrafting is the harvesting of wild plants). Players learn about plants by connecting the icon on the challenge or "trouble" cards with the icons on the plant cards. If a player has a "burdock" card in their herb basket and draws a "hungry" card, then the player can turn the cards in and move to the next rest space. Though it is a cooperative game, there is plenty of strategy and drama as players travel up the mountain to the Huckleberry Patch and back to Grandma's before nightfall. The only way to get back safely is to help each other out. However, it's ok if you don't make it. Grandma will come and get you. :) Wildcraft! is a great introduction to the world of edible and medicinal herbs for children of ALL ages. It's a beautifully illustrated, nature based, educational, cooperative game created in the tradition of the classic board games. Kids love the "Chutes and Ladders" type of play.Wildcraft! features storytelling and fosters the imagination. It's one of the best natures games, being that it connects kids to nature. It's an herb game and an educational game. Wildcraft! includes a 20x20 inch game board, instructions, 4 player pieces, 52 plant cards, 52 trouble cards, 25 cooperative cards, and a spinner. I bought this board game for myself (50years old) because I learn best through pictures and interactive material and I wanted to learn more about herbs. I have also played this game with my 4 year old niece. She LOVED it and was faster than me in identifying the herbs that helped with different remedies. She is very competitive so it was great to have a game with a cooperative component in which all win as long as we help each other along the way. The game has a chutes and ladders type layout and is very beautifully illustrated. I was enchanted by the colors. I downloaded the story that goes with the game and was very pleased to discover all the user friendly opportunities for further "herb" learning available on the [...] website. I am very impressed with this game and its creators. Enjoy!

I will say I really like this product. I got it last year and ended up giving it to friends, neices and nephews as well. I teach herbs and find this a very easy and non-intimidating way to get everyone looking at their "weeds" differently. Helps people to learn that some of those so called weeds, are actually quite useful.
A wonderful introduction for anyone who is even remotely curious about a safe game for all ages where everyone comes out a winner. I enjoy it as a fun family game once in a while and use it for fun classes for my herb students who are just beginning, and as a refresher of common basics to the more advanced :)
If you have an avid outdoors person, camper, hiker, child, gardner or anyone who is outside or heck - alive - then consider this safe, fun and learning game. It is a safe game for all ages :)

I was really excited about the content /idea of this game when I read about it on Learningherbs.com but was a bit skeptical to actually buy it. I am not one to usually enjoy board games but this one is fun...but that's coming from someone who is interested in herbs as are my children (girl 6 and boy 4). The board is well made and the cards are sturdy, the plastic chips are nice and shiny so my kids can't keep their little hands off of them. The kids really enjoy helping one another with their "ailments" and can't wait to get the right card so they can give it to the other to put them out of their misery ....and that's saying something for a 4 year old boy. My daughter learned quite a few of the herbs and can recognize one or two of them. I do agree with one of the other reviewers-- I'd like to see more info on the uses of the herbs that are used in the game. While I can see how putting this information in the game could possibly be dangerous for little guys who are curious to try anything, but a section on the website with actual photos and a brief kid friendly explanation would be really helpful -not to mention interesting. My daughter would be "all over it"! The final word...my kids LOVE IT!
