5.0 out of 5 stars !! WOW !!
This is an excellent pack with plenty of pockets and lots of room for gear. My only issue is the 'squeak' of the straps rubbing together... still looking for a way around that. It's just not a good idea to impersonate a cat-toy while hiking thru mountain lion country.

Otherwsie an excellent pack with plenty of features.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy if you are serious about trekking
I had a good mind in investing in an Osprey backpack and had been tracking prices for a long time. Seeing a similar backpack - Nebo's - for 40$, I figured it would be worth it as I wasnt going to trek too much this year. Right from the start, the bag was a disaster. I had a good mind in investing in an Osprey backpack and had been tracking prices for a long time. Seeing a similar backpack - Nebo's - for 40$, I figured it would be worth it as I wasnt going to trek too much this year. Right from the start, the bag was a disaster. There is not too much volume to place your stuff inside even though the bag looks huge. There is a sleeping bag compartment or something of that sort with a black body bag that hands loose. It is practically useless. The plastic snaps that can be used to tighten the straps were just that - plastic. Trying to roll my bag into place and tightening it, the plastic snapped and flew on my face. And I hadnt even started packing yet. It is made in China. Need I say more! Do not trust your fun trip with this. an Eastsport school bag will serve you better. Atleast mine has!

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money, October 2, 2005

I'm not claiming this to be a pro-level backpacking bag, but it served me exceptionally well on my two week trip to europe. There are a ton of pockets inside and out side of the main compartment, so it was good for organizing different adaptors, toothbrushes, etc. Some people said snaps or other plastic parts were breaking on them, but I didn't have any of those problems, I just lost a little cord from a zipper. The shoulder height adjustment things are a little tricky to get right, but they help to distribute the load pretty well.

5.0 out of 5 stars NEBO Sports Wilderness 55, July 28, 2005

I purchased this for my son for Boy Scouts. The pack is very well made and the adjustments make it easy to customize the fit. It is plenty big for a weekend and the lower zippered sleeping bag compartment is a real bonus on a pack at this price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pack for the price!, December 23, 2005
This review is from: Wilderness 55 Internal Frame Backpack (Sports)
First off, I caught an Amazon sale at just the right time and picked up this pack for $39.99 and free shipping. I was torn between this pack and another that had a hydration pocket (advertised), but no side pockets. I love the side pockets of the Nebo pack... it's so much easier to find smaller items instead of digging through the main compartment. I'm very glad I went with the Nebo even tho it was not advertised as hydration ready (pretty important to me). Turns out IT IS HYDRATION READY even tho there is nothing in the product description indicating that fact. So, if you're like me and the only turnoff to this pack was the lack of a hydration pocket, go ahead and buy it and be pleasantly surprised!

Construction seems durable and capacity is great for weekend trips. It might not stand up to heavy, constant use. But for $40...

5.0 out of 5 stars fan-frickin-tastic, September 19, 2005
This review is from: Wilderness 55 Internal Frame Backpack (Sports)
This backpack went thru the rough & tumble of Costa Rica and was a) comfortable, and b) durable. Being small (5'), it was quite comfy to walk around with. I fully recommend anyone who is looking for a backpack at a GREAT price to buy this one!

(there you go, sports team!)

3.0 out of 5 stars Very nice backpack with no frils or extras, September 19, 2007

I bought this back-pack and took it to India for Himalayan treks. Nice pack with essential design but no extras like Ice-axe loops, rope loops etc.

The nice thing is having a seperate bottom loading sleeping bag cmpartment and the top loading main compartment. Carries suffience load and while thematerial is a bit on the light side, it still packs in a puch and take a load for a weekend winter trip.

Strap stiches are a bit weak - if too heavy loads, then staps show a bit of strain - but they haven't torn or anything in my 3 treks with full loads.

Have given it to my sister and she loves it - since its not too big for her - its ideal for small-medium built persons.

Good backpack for the budget.

I would take this thing anywhere with me. It's durable and great for any kind of weather. I love all the compartments and the rain cover it has. It has proven to be very useful. I am very thrilled that i have one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Product not nessacarily the one described here!, April 9, 2008

They didnt post my last review i guess they didnt like what I had to say. Product I recieved looks ok, have not used it yet but it does look rather cheaply made, the pack will probably not stand up to packing it full for more than a day. It is not what was described. It is one Compartment (no sep. compartment for sleeping bag only a zipper at the bottom for access to the main compartment) pockets for drink will not hold average nalgene, no rain cover as advertised. Product does not match that described by others either. Now that I have returned to review there is a new picture completely different from the one i purchased and recieved oh but same spects, and product reviews are posted as before.....hm I find that interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pack!, November 16, 2007

I bought this pack for hunting and I just got back from my first trip with it. The pack is extremely comfortable, has lots of cargo space, nice collection of straps on the outside to hook things and everything is easily accessible within the pack. The little rain cover concealed in a zippered pocket on the bottom is a nice touch. Excellent pack and a great value. I love it!
