The Wilderness First Responder by Buck Tilton,

This review is from: Wilderness First Responder: A Text for the Recognition, Treatment and Prevention of Wilderness Injuries (Paperback)
I have read many books and articles on first aid in the wilderness but none compare to Mr. Titlon's commons sense practicle approach. He does a very good job explaining what is approriate in the wilderness versus an urban setting. He also is very explicit in his directions on how to provide care.Mr. Titlon also does a good job in organizing the book. One chapter feeds into the next. In general I prefer the WFR course to be a conducted after someone is certified as a medical first responder so that they understand the legal differences. If you need to take both at the same time, this is an excellent course book. Bruce A. Donato First Responder Instructor K & A First Aid
