Truly Brilliant. An Excellent But Short Novel.,
By
This review is from: Wildest Dreams: A Horror Novel (Subterranean Press Short Novel) (Hardcover)
Norm is a genius. But we all knew that already, didn't we? This story is very hip and cool. It came out before 6th Sense so those thinking it is a rip off are way off base. The reason I waited to buy it was the cover price. It was high. My only wish now is that that some genius would re-issue this in mass market papwerback form with 3 or 4 more added chapters to give it some girth. I read it in 2 nights. It would also make an excellent film.
I can't explain how good the book is because I can't write like Norm, but we have assassins, cult leaders, spirit mediums, witches, ghosts, mystery, sex, violence, etc. Another good thing in the novel are the locations. The bottle house, Circe's stronghold, the bridge over the creek and even the mortuary are all done in such excellent detail that I could see them in my head.

This is the first thing I ever read by Norman Partridge and let me tell you that all these long years later, pieces of this book still flash through my memory. I absolutely love this story and recommend it to friends all the time.

Another Trip Through Partridge's Sick Mind,
By A Customer
This review is from: Wildest Dreams: A Horror Novel (Subterranean Press Short Novel) (Hardcover)
This book has not one person who can be considered a hero and yet it is still an edge-of-your-seat-thriller. Partridge takes us to a new level with this one. He shows you he can do more than the hip, surf music in the background kind of writing he does so well. This book suceeds all the way.
