Tessa McAllister just can't seem to wake up without some kind of trouble in her life as a ranch owner. Plagued with draught and wildfires, she also has to deal with some low-down tactics of others scheming behind her back. And if that weren't enough trouble for one woman to handle, she's shot at. Mildly injured, she's fortunate to have suffered only that. Was someone trying to kill her?

With no moments of good fortune for Tessa, she then finds herself in a new predicament. She manages to rescue an injured man, only to discover it is none other than Josh Bryant, the man who once broke her heart. What next???

Finding themselves alone together again makes it difficult for them both not to be reminded of what they had once shared. And Josh isn't exactly a happy camper either, but now destined to have to remain in each other's company while his motorcycle is repaired, passion fires up with a fury stronger than the wildfires. But... someone appears to not want their relationship restored. Someone is out to sabotage them. Or are they? Were they after the ranch? And if so, why?

With the trouble at the ranch and in their strained relationship, it's difficult for them to figure out exactly what is going on. Trouble seems to follow the McAllister women like bees are attracted to honey. But there's nothing sweet about the happenings at Snow Canyon Ranch and danger is lurking nearby. Waiting for just the right moment.

Roxanne Rustand has written what I consider to be an award-winning series, packed full of mystery and suspense, and laced with just the right amount of romance. A job well done! I give it 5 stars again, as in the previous two in this series. A definite must read series, whether you love mysteries, suspense or romance. The well plotted characters combined with picturesque settings and lively events form a believable story line you are sure to love. You'll wish there were more sisters!

The entire series of SNOW CANYON RANCH TRILOGY was very exciting. Kept me turning the pages for MORE. Would like to see a fourth book to wrap up all the marriages and children born from the unions.Would highly recommend this series and author.

Albeit is almost the same plot, love story, and thrilling part in the three books - "Hard Evidence", "Vendetta" and this one the story is quite good to read. If you don't want to read almost the same story thrice just keep some time between books.
