5.0 out of 5 stars Seed Needs is an honest and conscientious seller
Seed Needs is an honest and conscientious seller. I bought these seeds and complained that there was less than the 1000 promised seeds in the package and they promptly contacted me, apologized and sent a new order overflowing with seeds. Great seller great product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Germanation rate disappointing
I was disappointed that the percentage of seeds that germinated was much smaller than I expected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, April 30, 2009
This review is from: Wildflower Seeds- 1000+ Low Growing
We just built a new home on a one acre lot. We're not doing a lawn and our "natural" landscaping will take awhile to develop. I sprinkled these in an area made barren by the construction. They are coming up beautifully; some are already blooming. Some are getting quite tall so I guess I don't know exactly what they mean by "low growing." We are having a lot of rain right now so perhaps that's the reason for the height. Either way this is a lovely assortment and I am very pleased.

I planted these late last Summer and got many flowers. Can't wait for Spring this year to watch them sprout and flower again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product! Order more than you think you'll need!, July 11, 2010

I purchased this to help place some color around my house and the seeds grew (estimated >75 percent yield) well. I like just dropping a couple of packets of this in areas and I don't have to think about what I'm planting. If you are ordering this product, I recommend you order 2 times what you think you'll need; 1000 seeds really don't go that far. Compared to my local big box stores, this is a little more economical.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seeds germinated; would buy again, June 1, 2010

I purchased these for my mother for Mother's Day as she is a gardening fanatic and was excited to get them into the ground for her. We cleared a small area in one of her garden boxes and mixed some garden soil, top soil, and manure to give the seeds a good foundation to grow from. The seeds were spread by hand to get a better control over the spread and then covered with a sprinkling of top soil.

"1000+ seeds", in actuality, isn't a whole lot. Definitely purchase more if you plan on covering any significant area. We planted a strip about 18" x 60". However, admittedly, the plants are very densely packed right now - we may have to separate some of the seedlings pretty soon. Maybe there's a better technique to planting these than just spreading them by hand...

I would say that most of them probably germinated so I'm pleased with the purchase. Some general instructions would have helped for sure (but not enough of a complain to dock a star). We'll see how they flower later in the season!

2.0 out of 5 stars these aren't actually wildflowers, October 23, 2011

This review is from: Wildflower Seeds- 1000+ Low Growing
They're all flowers that grow pretty easily without much maintenance, but they're weedy invasives. Some are native here, some there, but no matter where they're planted, at least some of them will be weedy invasives, not native, not wildflowers.

I planted these seeds about a month and half ago not excepting anything from them but boy have I been surprised! They are popping up left and right I really didn't have to do anything to them with a little thanks to Mother Nature and a good amount of spring rain. I have bought another package because I was so pleased with them.

3.0 out of 5 stars 7 foot plants! Low growing?, February 27, 2011

This review is from: Wildflower Seeds- 1000+ Low Growing
Like another reviewer who questioned the description of "low growth," my plants grew to a considerable height, growing higher than my 6 foot fence. It was only one species in the pack that grew this tall. The others bloomed for a short while before being choked out by the large "flower." I'm hoping that the plant was an annual and this year I'll get to enjoy the other low growing perennials in the pack.
