4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
This product truly deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because it worked so poorly for indoor applications. As it was explained to me by their tech, these units are configured for outdoor use and all indoor photos end up almost completely white and washed out. I don't recall any of the product info specifying that this product will not work indoors...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great
The images at night are grainy and the camera has a hard time taking the picture before the animal leaves the range of the camera. I use if for wildlife observation and have had various results. There is a bit of a learning curve with placing the camera. Good for the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay if you don't expect too much, December 15, 2007
Takes okay pics by day, lousy by night. Motion-activated shutter is slow to respond, resulting in some photos of nothing. Best use is for something like a salt lick or feeder, which results in animal not running by.

I bought one of these camera's and used it 1 time. Moisture got into it and ants found their way into it. It is ruined and the company will not warranty it. They say insect damage is not covered. I attached it to a tree just like the instructions said, but insects can get in and they will not fix it. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY ANOTHER BRAND!!!!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but flash is overwhelming, December 21, 2009
This review is from: Wildview 5.0 Megapixel Digital Toggle Switch Game Camera with 30-Feet Flash (Sports)
I've gotten some awesome pics of a coyote, but you really have to be careful where you place it or you just get a whiteout. If he gets too close to the camera, whiteout. Make sure there's a wide cleared space or you'll get nothing but white. The alkaline batteries run out rapidly, in a couple days if you're getting alot of tripping during night.
I can't get the camera to download straight on to my computer with the cord or software provided. And I wish I could have more freedom of choice in how it takes pics.
The green test light isn't light enough to use in the daytime to figure out the perimeters of the motion detector. The strap for it to strap it onto a tree has a belt like connection and you have to slide the whole length of it through to remove it or put it up. It needs a snap on, snap off type. Wish it had more mounting choices, too.

But for the price, it takes pretty good pics and it's exciting to know what's happening out there at night!
I'd recommend it to anyone who can deal with these minor annoyances and doesn't have grand plans of great photography.

I'd show some pics it took if I had the time to figure that out.

This item did not work out of the box. It was returned on 8-1, and as of 8-13, I have had no response from Gizmos for life, where the camera came from. Buyer beware.

2.0 out of 5 stars OK But Didn't Last Long, April 24, 2009

Bought this camera just over a year ago. Worked OK, pretty much as advertised. But pictures aren't really much better than my old 2 Mp Moultrie and are far more prone to the white-out effect when game is closer than 10 ft or so.

Batteries last a long time (I use rechargeable ones). However, the display has decided it will only work once in a while, randomly, so I never can be sure if the date/time is set properly or how many photos it has taken (until I bring the card back to the house and check it).

Just bought another Moultrie, this time a 4 Mp.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, January 6, 2009

Not being familiar with such products, I thought I was purchasing a wildlife camera with infrared flash for my brother from his sisters. He's so hard to buy for and we were excited to have found something he could use. When he mentioned that "flash" taken during a trial setup, I knew the camera was not what I'd expected. Very disappointed.
