5.0 out of 5 stars great book
I love this book it was so good I wanted to finish it in one day but with a busy schedule I barley finished it the second day. Now I cant find the rest of the books new that are no more than $4.75 each.

2.0 out of 5 stars childish to say the least
Ok, so I purchased this book and a few other of this series, for my students, and my god daughter to enjoy, who are all horse crazy. I read it with my god daughter the day it arrived and i must say...it was pretty bad. My god daughter (age 7) was bored by the middle of the book, and only finished it so she could do her report on it. The story line has so much potential,...

The story line has so much potential, but was just sorta left lacking. **spoiler alert*** Taylor having very little experience with horses gets on a horse bareback, and if that wasn't weird enough she then rides said horse she has known for like 2 days at this point without a bridle and a broken helmet to an abandoned barn to stash them. where she meets the new owner of the abandoned property. The new owner of property hires on a bunch of kids, putting a minor as a riding instructer and attempting to use a horse who hates other people as a LESSON HORSE! The book was totally unbelievable, and while i think the author meant for it to be more believable, it just flat out wasn't. When i bring new horse books to the barn they vanish quickly, borrowed by my students, this one went once came back next day and hasn't been borrowed again. I would also like to say that as a horsewoman, and an instructor i was very disappointed in the general care and safety in this book!
