Wiley CPA Exam Review 2010 Test Bank CD - Business Environment and Concepts

I am one week from my test and have been studying the Wiley text for the past few months, so I purchased this to get some hands on experience. The constant problem I am finding in the software is that the publisher copied/pasted problems and didn't proof them.

As a couple of examples (not the first ones I came across, just the first ones I took time to review):

In one practice exam I received the same (word-for-word) problem about "Gerriod Corp." three times, each time asking me to calculate the "return on sales" but each time giving me a different set of answers (two had all percentage, one had all ratios). When reviewing - only one of the three times was actually asking for "return on sales", one was giving me asset turnovers and the other was asking for the spread.

Another is a question that asks for the "current ratio" of "Traber", but the current ratio is not in the answer set and the explanation given is for calculating the debt-to-equity ratio. I assume I will keep stumbling across these problems again with the same copy/paste issues.

Now that I have sunk months into studying and several hundred dollars into registration fees and review materials, I may be no better off then where I started.

I purchased the Wiley book and CD-ROM Test Bank together. After an exhausting 4 hours of researching and downloading the necessary programs to run Microsoft SQL server 2005 (the platform for all Wiley Test Bank CD-ROMs), I found the questions included on the CD-ROM to be similar to the ones already in the book. The next day, I had to uninstall all of the programs in safe mode because my computer wouldn't stop crashing. Apparently Microsoft's SQL 2005 has caused other people's computers to become unstable too, which I later found out on Wiley's tech support webpage. The book was great though. The questions on the practice exam were very similar to the actual exam. Definitely run through the fifty AICPA practice questions in the back also. I answered all of the questions after each module and took the practice tests while timing myself. I tried to spend about 50% of my time reviewing the material and 50% practicing questions. I haven't received my scores back yet but I'm sure I passed. Save your money and just buy the book.

I purchased this software in order to have practice questions for my upcoming BEC exam in about 3 weeks and when I went to intall it I received an error message. I then reached out the their live chat tech support people and the guy who responded, Terrence E. was useless and incompetent. He decided to blame my computer after trying to tell me to contact my IT dept when I told him this is my personal laptop. Then he suggested I contact Compaq for help (I have an old Compaq laptop) when they don't exist. My laptop is in excellent condition and have installed many softwares in the past for various purposes and have never had a problem. I guess I got what I paid for.

So didn't even get as far as the questions to review those. What a waste of money and time! Now I'm stressed searching for exam practice questions.
