5.0 out of 5 stars A great series, December 8, 2008

My nine year old son got into this series about 2 years ago. He has anxiously awaited each new book to come out and then devours it over and over again. He was not a strong reader and has serious issues with his attention span so I'm ecstatic that he loves these books and actually wants to read when he gets home from school. I highly recommend these books for any boy in the 6-10 year range (depending on reading level of course).

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough of these books..., November 6, 2010
Finding books for my reluctant reader (8yo son) has been difficult. As an avid reader myself, I have pulled my hair out trying to spark his interest in reading. We stumbled upon these books and soon discovered my son LOVES them! I had a tear of joy in my eye when I peeked into his room late one night and found him READING when he should have been sleeping. YES!!!! For any other parents who are searching for the same, these books are hilarious and fun. There are funny illustrations throughout the book (my son really enjoys these!) that helped with the intimidation factor of "too many words on a page." The only other books we have found that my son has truly enjoyed are the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and the Roscoe Riley series. (Note: The Roscoe Riley series are a lower reading level, but my son liked how quickly he could read an entire book, and the material held his interest so I was fine with it.) I hope Kirk Scroggs is busy writing MORE Grampa and Wiley adventures.... we LOVE them!
