These glasses are the best I've ever owned. I use them for riding my motorcycle and for law enforcement duties. They keep the wind, dust, etc. out of my eyes very effectively. They also function well as safety glasses on the range. If I happen to be riding my motorcycle after dark, it is simple to change the lenses to the clear ones that come with these glasses. Excellent value for the price.

This is one of the more popular Department of the Army approved ballistic glasses, but they do not hold up in the deployed environment. The lenses scratch very easily. The WileyX metal piece on the side catches on your helmet straps. The black glossy paint flecks away after only two months of use. If you're spending your money on ballistic eye wear, that needs to be able to with stand Iraq or Afghanistan, these are not them.

These are the most comfortable goggles I've worn in a long time. Both the elastic strap and the earpieces are low friction so they work great with either a hat or a helmet. The one issue I have with them is the lenses. Even with the provided anti-fog solution they still tend to fog up pretty quick. I used Cat Crap on them and that seems to work pretty well. Overall, I like the SG-1's.

I have the photo chromatic version of these glasses. I use them for ATV riding protection, shooting, and general work safety glasses. I have found that they provide a very secure wrap-around fit. The photo chromatic lens seems a bit weak in bright sunlight. Still, I am very pleased with the glasses. With the foam pads forming a goggle-type fit the glasses tend to fog when you are exerting yourself. Probably best designed for cool climates or hot-dry climates. I think you would get fogged-up quite a bit in a hot-humid climate using these glasses.
Great riding glasses and you can fit the glasses to your helmet using either the temples or stretch strap.
The biggest plus you get with these glasses is Wiley-X customer service and support. After (2) years of use I broke the hinge between the temple and main frame on one side. I emailed Wiley-X and within (10) days they sent me a complete set of new hinges and temples at no charge, no questions asked. Great company, great product. Recommended.

Don't buy these if you have a big face and want to use the strap. The nose area causes me such incredible pain. Apart from the fact that I can't wear them, they seem great. Shame there was absolutely no sizing information with this product. Waste of money.

Perfect for working underneath a truck where everything you touch unleashes dirt and sand straight into your eyes. Lenses fog a little if I'm really hot.

These work great as a goggle. Foam forms around the eye sockets, keeps dust out. The two sets of smoke and clear lenses let you use them at night too. Perfect for driving UTV's in a third world country.

Elastic band holds up over time and can be adjusted to fit most anyone. Nose piece does not feel uncomfortable after a few minutes like some brands and they seem to conform to the face after a while.

As sunglasses though, these might fall forward off of your face. The earpieces are not working for me at all. It makes them easier to take off, but also allows them to fall off when moving around.

Fit better under PASGT and MCH helmets than the old issue style. Look cool and actually get worn. Get these if you are headed to the sand box.

Safety rated and actually hard to scratch.

They will scratch if you get lots of gritty sand on them, or ride motorcycle, fire RPG-7's etc. I rated them lower due to this. If performing these activities I now wear Lab Safety Supply smoke tint Battalion II safety glasses. Cost is about $2.25 a pair if you buy a 10 pack case.

Good quality, delivery was fast. I got them long time before the due date:). I havent tested them yet on motorcycle but as usual sun glasses they are good and look nice

So, I'm in afghanistan and I realize I don't have any sunglasses that are equipmed to protect my eyes from dust storms and dirt devils. I finally find these and I am quite satisfied with this product. I am thinking about buying another pair just so I can put the clear extra lenses in them to wear at night. This packaged comes with the normal sunglasses ear stems also. I didn't know that. So you don't have to use the strap if you don't want to. It does a good job of keeping dust out. My co workers were shrieking in agony when we were walking in a dust storm. I strolled along wondering if he was trying to rub the cataracst out of his eye or something.

To sum it up, it is a good product. It may not catch everything, but it catches 99.75% of something coming at your face....... That statement is kinda of opened.

The only thing lacking for this order was the description. The original description didn't say anything about extra items such as lenses, straps, cleaning cloth, and case (although I knew it came with a case). Changing lenses is a little strange, but they snap out with some difficulty at first. They are GREAT for bright sun, dusty conditions, and they don't fog up. It is well worth the money and this is the cheapest I have found them.
