I've been studying Reich since 1970s about his perceptions of natural energy in people, in space, nature & cells. A dozen or so book on Reich's life, & dozens by him explain the multi-dimensions of his work from 'Passion of Youth' bio to his 'Children of the Future' released in 1980s. However this is the best deep overview of Reich's life & work i've read yet. Reich discovered a more natural psychology & therapies than the Freudian's in 1920s & began teaching classes for sexual self-healing education & publishing books on his new therapy.

He used natural human language, not psychoanalytic jargon that Freud used in private therapy while using cocaine to stimulate patients talking, he interpreted to them. Reich was more present talking with & advising people, & researched for 40 years about our true Human Nature with energy flowing thru our bodies, he even measured in 1930s. He recorded 100s of his energy research, observations & theories about 'Orgone' in: cells, people, space & weather, 'radio active' minerals & flying saucers.

This book explains Reich's deep life Work in chapters: 'The Energy of Drives - (motives/needs); The Structure of Character (personality); The Sickness of Society; The Rhythms of the Body' feeling waves; Biological Pulsations (vibrations); Organism & Atmosphere - Orgone Energy; The Treatment of Illness - Biopathy & healing; 'Free Growth' work, democracy, self regulation & family life; Reason & Nature - Functionalism; Cosmic Energy - (Orgone) theory & practice; Conspiracy - history of campaigns; Climate & Landscape - Atmospheric self-regulation; Creation & Destruction - Final year.

His 40+ books are in print since '60s & '70s. He worked intensely in US since 1940 researching & learning, teaching, expanding & translating his dozens of books into English, trusting they'd be printed later.
