Jan Sejna: We Will Bury You

The Soviet Plan for the subversion of the West by the highest ranking communist ever to defect

Jan Sejna, former Chief of Staff to the Ministry of Defense and Assistant secretary to the top secret Communist Party Defense Council in Czechoslovakia was the highest ranking communist ever to defect to the USA. Sejna had access to large numbers of strategic plans of the communist party, and the most valuable information he brought to the West, was a detailed synopsis of the Soviet plan to subvert the West country by country. Sejna defected in February 1968, after he realized that the Prague Spring would be crushed by the Soviets just like the Hungarian Uprising in 1956.

First chapter "Peasant Boy to Party Boss" describes in brief Sejna's family background and his journey to the top of the Party bureaucracy. Sejna's family came from Shumawa Mountains in Southern Bohemia, where they lived as subsistence farmers. Shortly before the end of the war, Sejna was drafted in the German army and posted to Czech-Polish border, from where he deserted and returned back home. After the war, Sejna's family obtained property with 28 acres of land in Vitani after expelled Sudeten Germans. At this time, the whole Sejna family joined the Communist Party; Jan Sejna became very active, and soon became District Chairman and Propagandist for the Communist Youth Organization and a keen supporter of Marxism-Leninism.

Since 1946, Jan Sejna worked actively on indoctrination of local population. Not all locals were so keen on communism, though, and Sejna was many times attacked and even thrown into the river by local resistance. Sejna also participated in disrupting meetings of the National Coalition (also known as the National Front).

I read this book years ago (74-75?). When I see how many fellow Americans today are blindly accepting the tenets of Communism and Socialism - college kids with Che posters and T-Shirts, etc., - it scares the hell out of me for the future of my country. Jan Senja at the time was the highest ranking Communist official to defect to the west. He warned that the Communists knew they could never beat the West militarily, but they could move the west toward their ideology a little at a time by working from the inside - they would imbed into our institutions of education, entertainment, legal, and political, and slowly inculcate the west to their way of thinking. Think it's not happening? Try to find a conservative Professor these days, or a conservative news person. We now have a President who, in his own book, spoke of seeking out the "Marxist Professors" when he first went to college. I pray for my country, I really do.
