Lets face it; not all of us are Brad Pit look a likes, in fact some of us would settle to be a Brad Garrett look a like. For those looking/needing a new game plan Rocky has got the book for you. Will Cook For Sex says it all, it's the `nice' guys guide to getting women to come over for a drink. It's not just a book for men too; it's also a good book for women to give the men in their lives as a subtle hint that they won't miss. So pour a couple of drinks, light the stove and see how Rocky's book can help you satisfy a woman's appetite.

Well, that may be a bit of an overstatement. Sometimes it takes more than food. The book was very informative on showing the basics of cooking for guys. The first two recipes and the breakfasts are fairly easy "repeat" meals that can be done from memory. For the average guy that does not cook at all, this may be a little much. However, for a guy that likes food and wants to impress the ladies, this book is great. A follow-up with some more "date" meals would be great. Can't wait to eat, I mean read it.

Of course we were lured in by the title, and while cookbooks aren't really our specialty, we thought we'd devote a little space to one of the few we've ever seen relating to a guy's point of view about cooking. (Inexperienced guys, of course, not your world renowned-chef type guys.) As skeptical as we were (based on the title alone), 'Will Cook for Sex' actually does a good job of laying out (pun intended?) recipes for all occasions that are simple yet effective for having the girl of your dreams be dutifully impressed with your newly-honed culinary skills. Southern California's Rocky Fino goes through all the steps from the first date ('The Show') to the second ('the Swing Date') to the third ('the Peer Review') with a wide variety of savory choices - from Italian Stallion Penne to Lobster Spears to Kingfish Benedict - finally ending up with the Morning After meals, the Weekend Pass and what to do for the holidays. With simple instructions and a well photographed, bright layout from Visual Impact, 'Will Cook for Sex' (recently awarded Foreword Magazine's Cookbook of the Year award) would actually make a great first addition to any single guy's kitchen bookshelf.

I bought this book thinking it'd be for layman/ beginners in cooking. I was wrong. The meals are so extravagant, my head was spinning.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure these recipes will cook the pants off ANY female. But if you have little to no experience in the kitchen beforehand, this book is not for you.

ALSO, this book has hardly any meals w/ MEAT in it. I'd would venture that at least 85% of all the recipes in this book (not including dessert) are SEAFOOD. For those of us out there that do not like seafood, stay away from the book.

This book has a wide range of meals to cook from. All that is needed is the basic cooking utensils and you're off! Even the courses in which I thought would be tough, turned out very when I followed the instructions. I would definitely recommend this.

I bought two copies of this book for my twenty-something nephews. Every single guy can learn a few things from this very easy read, and have a good meal as well. Who knows what the reward will be.

The book was good and funny but the recipes are not exaxctly easy and don't have a huge variety. It has really weird recipes instead of more common meals. But I like the traditional food I guess.

a great read with a lot of interesting, sophisticated recipes. what i love about this book is the pictures which REALLY help. as a beginner cook and someone who loves to impress the ladies with my culinary skills, this cookbook is perfect for those special occasions. and yes, if you use this book and make the right things, it will lead to better things down the road. happy cooking.

When I decided I wanted to learn how to cook to help me, not just eat healthier, but impress the woman I am dating, I searched out books and found this one. I think it was a good start to my cooking education. The recipes aren't too "out there" and difficult to put together. The text isn't insulting in any way. (I saw other cookbooks that really play up how inept men are in the kitchen. It's funny for the first couple of pages, but not so much when repeated.) I wasn't able to pick out three recipes from this book and, I think, master them quite quickly. I wish they would do a follow-up. And did my cooking impress my girl? I think my effort was more attractive to her than the actual food. :) I'm working on improving that!

A great book. Simple and yet very satisfying ... will be put to good use. Lots of laughs too!
